HAPPY CANON-EVENT DAY!!✨

.

Enjoy some Dannys while I wait for my copy. Hope I can at least get it by this week.

I think this quote from Isayama sort of says it all about Levi:

“It’s that he found a place to make the most of what he could do, or rather, his own special abilities.  Underground, where it was all he could do to stay alive, he had to live for that, but then he started to form relationships and began to feel that he could do things for others.  And that’s why he first went above ground…”

As soon as Levi realized he could use his strength to help others, that’s what he tried to do.  It was what he always wanted to do.  It was always just there, an inherent part of his personality.  He just didn’t realize he could help others until he became friends with Furlan and Isabel because no one ever told him he could.  No one ever showed him how.  Levi was left lost by Kenny, because Kenny only ever taught Levi to use his strength for himself, and no one else, and then abandoned him, leaving him in desperate, dire circumstances where, as Isayama said, it was all he could do to stay alive.  In a position where he wasn’t able to do anything but struggle to survive.  He had to find out for himself, through forming friendships and relationships with others, that his strength could actually help other people.  No one taught him that.  He had to and was able to figure it out on his own.  It’s also testament to Levi’s open and compassionate heart that, despite how he was raised, and where he was raised, he was willing to let others get close to him and form those relationships.  And the moment he realized that he could help others, that’s what he wanted and tried to do.  That’s also why he decided to stay with the Survey Corps, not because he felt beholden or some sort of infatuation with Erwin, but because he felt like it was a place where he could help the most people the most effectively.  Before that, he knew Furlan and Isabel wanted to live above, and he tried to make that a reality for them, even though, if you read “No Regrets”, you see that Levi himself wasn’t sure about living on the surface, and was scared about the dangers involved with leaving the only place he’d ever known, or trusting someone from the surface making them promises.  But he yielded to Furlan’s plans, he left behind his own comfort, he left behind his own certainty and his own place in the world, a place where he’d worked and fought and scratched his way to a position of, at least among the people of the Underground, some respect and standing, so that he could give a better life to the two people he loved.  And we see this same, self-sacrificial tendency later on in the story too, when Levi tries to take on the burden of killing Erwin himself, and keeping Furlan and Isabel out of it so they can actually have a chance to live the lives they want, and not have to be on the run from the authorities.

And that really encapsulates who Levi is.  A totally selfless act, done for the benefit of others and, in many ways, to his own detriment.  Levi was taught to be exactly the opposite of this by Kenny.  But still, this is who Levi is, selfless, self-sacrificial, kind and caring.  Nobody taught Levi to be this way.  He just is this way.

(Prompt Idea) Levi Ackerman X Reader

(( For any Fic writers who use this, please, tag me. Sorry if my grammar is bad, I wrote this fast. I Might add more to it later or just answer any questions people might have. ))

So, I see the story opening up with Levi sitting in a hospital bed with his face all stitched up, like in the anime when he gets them. He was in a crash of some kind, with glass and scrap metal messing him up. Plus, some fractures bad enough he’d have to be there a good while. Hanji and Erwin are visiting him to see how he’s doing. Hanji saying he’s lucky to still have his eye, even if he lost two fingers in the process, lol.

After a few hours, or the next day they come in to see another person is added to the room (Reader). They are covering head to toe in bandages like Levi, and are in a coma it seems. Mostly their head is covered in bandages and bruises Hanji being nosey and reading the chart at the foot of their bed. I know for sure both men would scold them for that. Reading they had been in an accident too. Hearing some nursing talking about it to a doctor noticing something was off with the info. Saying a friend found them in this random place and so conveniently found them. Knowing Hanji, they might know the place they were found for being super secluded and you can’t just stumble upon it. Again, sketchy. Later that day the “friend” comes in seeming shocked the room had more people in it. Their concern for the coma friend doesn’t seem right, like an act, because people are around.

As time goes on the reader hasn’t woken up yet. The group notice things the person, “friend”, does or says to doctors that are still not adding up. Or, seem too much. Like info dumping about the reader’s personal life. Telling them they had no family and they are all they had left. They make a comment reader just lost a grandfather and now this happened.

Soon the reader wakes up one day before the friend visits. About a week or month. Maybe while Hanji and Erwin are visiting Levi again. Reader is super soft and kind, the opposite of the person that was visiting them. When the friend finally comes in they try hugging read reader, acting so worried, reader flinches and politely pushed them away. The group notice the friend seems pissed about it, trying to play nice and ask why with a tight smile. Read then asked who they are. After a few questions from the doctor they find out reader lost about 10 years of memories.

We get the reader’s point of view to see how they remember random facts on things, but not the people they know. Like they’ll know facts on tea or a countries history, but not this person, lol. Showing they were smart. Read seemed a pushover before the accident, but now with no memories, they are cold and indifferent to the friend. Slowly making friends with Levi and the rest of them who visit him. I love the idea Levi getting a slight soft spot for reader. Hanji and Erwin noticing first and find it adorable, cause he doesn’t get attached like that to anyone. Awkward man not knowing how to go about his feelings when he comes to terms with it.

The story leads up to us finding out the so called “friend” caused the accident. They tried and are still trying to kill reader, for the money they inherited from said grandfather who passed away recently. Reader is the one to point out to the new friends she thinks this person is poisoning her, asking for help. Erwin might be a lawyer and help on that end.
