Being Schizophrenic is weird
Bugs crawling on your skin and when you slap the spot 87% of the time there was no bug, feeling of constant observation by a certain person or something you dont even see. Hallucinations, shadow people, emotional whirl of everything. ADHD x10. Memory is gone. Saying “am I losing my mind?” Then stating almost immediately “wait that happened a long time ago”. Never hearing people trying to talk to you. Hearing someone talking to you or say hello and you say “wait what?” And they look at you like you have 6 heads and say “I didn’t say anything?”. Voices but it’s a group of voices in the distance and you cant hear what they’re saying. People who know your condition might try to make you seem delusional but later find out you were actually right and people use your illness to control your thoughts. Feeling like the world literally isnt real. Darkness is not our friend. Symptoms can literally come and go whenever the fuck they want. But even with all this (this isnt even everything) I still love me and all my disorders and how they uniquely formed me into who I am today, and I wouldn’t change it for a thing.

The thing about schizophrenia is you dont really see it coming until one day you think the neighbors can read your mind and then that thought “I think they can” turns into “I know they can”

It’s some scary shit when you cant tell what’s real and what’s not real

Brain: There’s someone in the closet.
Me: I don’t see anyone.
Brain: Well they’re in there.
Me: There’s really no one—
Brain: They’re going to kill you.

Having homicidal thoughts doesnt make you a bad person. Be it the result of OCD, Schizophrenia, psychosis, or anything else, you are not a bad person.

You get in trouble for actions, not feelings. If you are having these thoughts, you are not a bad person because of them.

Every person with schizophrenia/psychosis thinks this at least once a week:

Is this a perfectly normal thing to be paranoid about or am I being symptomatic AF today

My Delusion Phases

1. Okay, this is obviously a delusion.

2. I know it’s a delusion but… what if it’s real?

3. It’s probably a delusion but… what if it’s real?

4. It’s probably real.

5. I really think it’s real.

6. It is very real.
