Your whole schedule consisted of them and so did Mark’s, but he always seemed like he was thriving on the workload. He loved work and he loved having things to do, but he was consistently exhausted now. 

There was something that always seemed to be bugging Mark now. He was cautious and always worried about everything now. It was almost as if he thought someone was following him constantly. You’d ask him what was wrong or why he was being so jumpy, but he would never tell you. He would give lame excuses like, “I guess I had too much coffee this morning,” or, “Gotta keep my reflexes sharp, you know I’ve been to the gym lately.” You just nodded and went along with it not really caring too much to ask more, but now you really wanted to know why he had been acting strange all of the time. 

Class starts not long after the bell rings. Your college Chemistry teacher did not mess around when it came to getting his students the content. “Mr. Lee sit up straight and take your notebook out,” he reprimanded as he scanned the class.
