I want to be absolutely clear that, when I write an alcoholic character, it's because I think that alcohol addiction and drinking to excess are cool. Just like when I write a criminal, I'm trying to persuade you, the reader, to take up a life of larceny and murder. Just so long as that's understood.

Oh good, because that's 100% the message I take from fictional media. For instance, I watched Hannibal for recipes and relationship advice.

based on the first pic of this zukki x iasip post by @empathetic-menace (i swear, next time i'll draw the hug one with suki<3 maybe even in the boiling rock). i love the idea of zuko interacting more with the gaang during his covert stay in the earth kingdom, so naturally…! also: heheh. i liked letting them keep the sneakers, who doesn't love anachronisms.

you know what, that's okay. I know it can be hard to brush your teeth every day, or drink a glass of water. there's a big misconception that all of these tasks we do for maintenance are "easy", but that just isn't the case. taking care of your body is hard work, and I'm proud of you for any amount of self care that you're able to do.

i'm a taylor swift centrist. she makes perfectly tolerable pop music that i can't imagine really getting into. dunno what it is about her that makes so many people go insane

i listen to one of these relatively bland and inoffensive but nonetheless well-crafted pop songs and everyone around me demands that i proclaim it a masterpiece or artistically bankrupt or whatever. i just want to grill for god's sake

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here but for the last year and a half (with a couple of breaks for health) I’ve been redrawing my favourite Torchwood episode, Adam, scene by scene! I’m currently on day 167 and I’m in the middle of the scene in which Adam tortures Ianto with a head-full of false memories.

It’s called Project Adam and I try to update 3 times a week. I’ve only ever posted a handful publicly, most of them are exclusive to my Patreon supporters. I’m incredibly thankful for every bit of support, it helps me to be able to keep creating new art for everyone to enjoy 🖤

I also post most new pieces there a day or so before I share them anywhere else and I also used Patreon to share last year’s Inktober and a project I did back at the start of the year, Jack January (I think that’s pretty self explanatory! 😅)

At times when I can’t manage social media I’ll post any new stuff there too!

this is one of the funnier questions ive ever been asked. Where do i even start

ok for people who don’t read comic books how to i explain this. ok um. imagine for a moment you’re watching a tv show, yeah? ok. and then one episode, the writer is different, and he makes your beloved main character who has a strict code of not killing, drive a plane into someone. or like, just puts a bunch of dog sex in one episode. or a bunch of penis mutilation in a LOT of episodes. imagine the producer for an entire tv show spent a good number of years pretending to be a different race and nobody had called him out on that and he continues to have a job as the producer of a show. imagine a different writer has an entire website dedicated to calling out his sex crimes. imagine one writer makes an episode where the main character is evil and the bad guy is actually cool and great and that’s pretty run of the mill for this shit but also the writer for this one is a straight up cryptofash. imagine one writer saying he’d like to put a character on a team but threw that idea away because the character was ‘Too Mentally Ill’ to be around other people at all. imagine a writer making a decision to name a main character after a slur and that being unchallenged and unchanged for Literal Years. these are all real things that have happened in the comics industry
