Israeli forces have supposedly withdrawn from Khan Younis, but at what cost? All houses are destroyed, al-Amal Hospital is completely out of service, bodies strewn everywhere under rubble. People still have no electricity and no clean water and no food. It’s hard to dub this a victory when the suffering continues.

Best Pali orgs to donate to at this time? Am thinking PCRF.

don't donate to orgs right now, donate to people. gazans need huge funds to evacuate to egypt, get treatment, buy food and other necessities. it is the most urgent and the best way your money can have the most impact.

(i Will go back to everlasting haitus if that GFM slows down too much btw, seeing it to its goal ASAP is my primary focus right now)

every once in a while you just gotta go "This Reality Is Not Acceptable" and put yourself all in on one cause and not let up on it until it is done, to make sure at least one fact of that unacceptable reality, changes. at least one more tragedy avoided.

that is what i have chosen to do here.

i'll admit i'm not especially good at drawing more realistic portraits/people, but i took a crack at it for this. in the back of mind, is the thought: i want to be able to draw a proper family portrait for them a year from now, and have nobody suddenly be missing from it.

donate, boost, share the GFM yourself on any platforms you may have/on websites i'm not on, in your community servers, anywhere sympathy and action can be found. please.

im rereading aftg again bc i need something easy to read rn and i keep thinking about how insane this lineup is. like presumably when the team was first started there were like at least 10 players who have all graduated save for seth at the start of the book. but until the start of the book a significant amount of those people were probably still around which would explain some of the gaps in the team. and then the second year they got 3 new players makes sense. but the third year it's literally only matt? and the fourth year there's 3 new people again but there hasnt been a new striker at any point even though all the strikers are graduating soon presumably until the start of the first book where kevin and neil join the team (or originally it wouldve been kevin and janie(?) who tried to kill herself and was never mentioned at any point after that) but that seems a bit last minute. even keeping in account that there's probably some people who quit or dropped out midway through (though we never hear about anyone besides the people from seth's original lineup) it just seems insane that they have such a small team
