Yes, of course! May Allah protect you and your family inshAllah
Firas is trying to evacuate himself and his family, including his 10-month-old son and 2-year-old daughter, from Gaza. They are extremely low on funds, with only €472/20,000. This is a legitimate fundraiser, so please please do not hesitate to share and donate!
The Eurovision song contest is facing intense scrunity and accusations of discrimination after it rebuked Swedish-Palestinian pop star Eric Saade for wearing a Palestinian scarf in the opening act of the semi-finals. Saade, whose father is of Palestinian origin, kicked off the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden on Tuesday evening with a keffiyeh, a traditional Palestinian and Arab male headdress, wrapped around his wrist. [...] In response, the organisers of the contest, European Broadcasting Union (EBU) released a statement saying it "regretted" that Saade wore the scarf. "The Eurovision Song Contest is a live TV show. All performers are made aware of the rules of the contest, and we regret that Eric Saade chose to compromise the non-political nature of the event," it said. [...] Eurovision later posted clips of the performances of the other two opening acts on its social media pages, but did not share Saade’s, prompting social media users to share the performance on their personal pages to show support for the artist.
Waving Palestinian flags, wearing traditional Palestinian garments, or if we're being honest, just being Palestinian, is now officially "too political" for Eurovision.
Literally, all Saade did was wear a keffiyeh around his wrist—while being Palestinian—and that was enough to get a statement from the EBU, and have his opening performance scrubbed from Youtube.
If you're not already boycotting Eurovision this year, then what the fuck is wrong with you?
Below are two statements from Saade. The first one, giving his reason for participating, was posted a few days ago, and the other was in response to the EBU accusing him of 'compromising the non-political nature' of the Genocide Song Contest:
Reminder again to BOYCOTT EUROVISION 🇵🇸
"i don't like rap" "i don't like country" "i don't like jazz" "i don't like disco" OPEN YR EARS & YR HEART!!!! YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!!

small idea for a cyborg redesign i'm playing with
Tell me more about your thoughts on American racial issues, European using aave on the internet
we literally need more and better feminism
we need ugly gross disgusting feminism again without conforming to aesthetics and advertisement companies i want pit hair i want leg hair i want weird haircuts i want to get rid of diet culture and ads for pink razors and make-up i want women to reject biological determinism and push away from the overwhelming tradwife narratives that social media feeds everyone ('natural hormone cycles' and 'divine feminine' and all of that shit) etc. i want more women working i want heterosexual relationships to get more balanced i also want it to be a norm for heterosexual couples to assess role assignments in the relationships and think critically about why they want children i want having children not to be something people just do because it is expected of them. I want a dyke for president. Etcetera
and obviously any and all terfism falls under the biological determinism shit and does not belong in feminism
No, you cannot watch the stupid European singing competition when its allowing the genocidal country that's literally starving millions and blowing up refugees' tents. Like, have some fucking shame.
You ask mfers to give up one aspect of pop culture (award shows, competitions, million dollar events) to put time and care into people of color and suddenly rights are being infringed. Bitch, if you don't get real and donate to an evacuation fund.
If there's one thing The Beef trending (and just a long time spent in music communities) has taught me it's that people really do need to broaden their horizons on the kinda music they listen to, in regards to black music.
The sheer amount of people I've seen go "is all rap like this" or "I don't like rap but..." is killing me. What exactly did you think rap was about before this? Quick, give me a reason that won't expose your racial bias.
Before this I've gotten so used to seeing posts that basically look like "I love all music except blues/soul/gospel/hip hop/jazz". Basically just anything that isn't a white dominated genre.
You'll shit on an entire genre built on generations worth of history and culture (that you have never listened to btw) and then have the audacity to act surprised that it's not what the media has convinced you it is?
You've never taken the time to have an idea what it's about and you still want to give your uneducated two cents about it???
I love how you tell non-Black people to respect rap and they try to slip you a doctor's note for why they can't handle the Violent Rhythms of Black People Music
You cannot imagine the racism you'll find in your average post about rap music. "They rap too fast"; every song??? "I can't understand what they're saying!" It's literally just aave. "Omg it's so aggressive and misogynistic" I'm gonna come into your house and blast three six Mafia at the highest possible decibel.
i just keep drawing silous faces
to be honest its crazy to me people even entertain “kids shouldn’t be in public spaces” as like a legitimate point. like great thank you for your input anyway this is real life and we live in a society and people have children. your perspective is warped and misanthropic but most of all its just like laughably out of touch and unrealistic. you might as well be arguing that rain should be made of grape juice instead of water.

Hala Consulting and Tourism Services, a firm owned by Sinai tribal leader and business tycoon Ibrahim al-Organi, has been charging Palestinians crossing from Gaza's Rafah to Egypt at least $5,000 per adult and $2,500 for children under 16.
It has a monopoly on providing transfer services at the Rafah crossing, the only Gaza exit not bordered with Israel and the single route out of the coastal enclave for Palestinians.
In the past three months alone, the company is estimated to have made a minimum of $118m, or 5.6 billion Egyptian pounds, from desperate Palestinians trying to leave war-torn Gaza.
Prior to the war, Hala charged everyone exiting Gaza via the Rafah crossing $350 per person, but the price has increased 14-fold for Palestinians.
We knew this all along but this surely puts things in perspective. But just how despicable do you have to be to profit off of people fleeing genocide? Absolutely disgusting and I hope this firm burns to the ground along with its owner.
