My fave five comfort characters are…

1. Kaladin Stormblessed from “The Stormlight Archive”. He’s a honourable, kind young man who has just taken a positive step with treating his depression, and I am so proud of him.

2. Sam Vimes from ‘Discworld’. This little man just wants to help people and stop evil-doers; he may not be the smartest guy in the world, but he always saves the day. Also, he has a found family of misfits around him, and that’s one of my favourite tropes.

3. and 4. Tegan Jovanka and Nyssa of Traken from ‘Doctor Who’. I’m not splitting them up; one is a brusque Australian who was a lesbian by accident, the other is a scientist alien lady who is bi and ace by accident. They share a room on a potentially infinite spaceship. They cannot keep their hands off each other. Their sapphic subtext is off the charts. Love them.

5. Yasmin Khan from ‘Doctor Who’. Sweet bisexual with a heart of gold. Ended up saving the Doctor so many times, and is just really awesome in general. Deserves all the hugs.

1. Ron Weasley. I doubt this comes to a surprise to any of you. This brave, handsome, kind, generous, faulted idiot in love with his best friend, will always be my favourite character!

2. Penelope Featherington Bridgerton. Is the wallflower, who was hardly paid any attention and bullies by most of the people who did. I connect with Penelope closely and hope to be as witty and sharp as her.

3. Stiles Stilinski our favourite teen wolf sarcastic smart ass. Need I say more?

4. Colin Bridgerton (Penelope's other half) I honestly reminds me so much of Ron, denial of his love for the love of his life, a huge foodie, kind generous and although he sometimes makes mistakes, always has good intentions. Also he's fine af!

5. Amelia Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy. I admire her character so much and what she's overcome. She feels her emotions deeply and in a big way just like me and I take comfort in her strength to not hide.

Hard to get a selfie with him in frame because 1) his head is very big and I am very small and have to fully extend my arm for his head to be in frame 2)The minute I started taking photos he smiled and collapsed for belly rubs

My life has been an adventure for the last 11 months travelling to different countries and meeting new people including @headcanonsandmore , all of which lead me moving to Dublin!!!! And after a dark winter I'm delighted that spring is here!

Me and one of my friend are equally obsessed with Colin and Penelope, I decided to make lots of stickers : There are still a few colors adjustments to make and i need to make my Cricut work again (i used scissors to cut all of these….), but it’s a good start. I also tried a shiny version of some of them. There are a lot more designs coming :D If you guys have any ideas, don’t hesitate to share them with me, i’ll add them to the to-do list (if they are not there already)

Hey HP friends, can we talk?

Lately I’ve been feeling horribly guilty and ashamed for still loving these books and these characters. I think because I only read them 4 years ago (when I was 21), it has made me feel like I haven’t had enough time with this fandom.

This fandom on Tumblr also saved my life. If I didn’t have my HP family during quarantine, I most likely would have killed myself. This fandom and all of you saved my life at a time when I was dangerously depressed and alone in my apartment for a year.

But I hate her. I hate everything she is saying. I don’t want to support her. But Harry Potter is so much a part of my life that I feel like I would lose a piece of me and all of you if I removed it.

What am I supposed to do? Is anyone else feeling this way? Please tell me I’m not alone. I desperately need someone to talk to about this, so please let me know if I can message you.

It's absolutely OK to love the books. I think we all can confidently say that we don't agree with R*#lings views or ideals. I think we, as a fandom are really making sure we separate the story from the author. You know that HP has saved me too and nothing will make me love HP any less. I just try to make sure to put a disclaimer that I don't support the Terf. We've done so on our podcast. This fandom is so accepting and the story means alot to everyone here. I'm certain you'll find nothing but support and encouragement. 😘😘😘

Polin Road trip romance au

Penelope Featherington hadn’t seen Colin Bridgerton since that disastrous confession of love she’d all but shouted at him on her highschool graduation day. She’d been so inlove with him, but he thought she wasn’t girlfriend material and she overheard him say it quite clearly to his brothers that same night. To think she’d been planning of following him and Eloise to Cambridge too. Thank heavens she came to her senses at the last minute and accepted a scholarship in Dublin instead.

Now five years later, a newly minted lawyer ready to go back home, she’s faced with an impossible choice, ride cross country with Colin back to England, or miss the job offer of a lifetime. Because sure, just as all flights to England are cancelled for Airport issues, It’s just her luck that Colin Bridgerton happened to be in Dublin for her graduation and coincidentally decided to be a good brother and offered to drive his sister’s best friend all the way home. He looks twice as handsome and devious as she remembered, and just as delectable.

Colin on the other hand, always regretted letting Penelope go without apologizing that fateful night. He never realized how much he relied on Pen, until she abruptly cut off contact and moved to Ireland after hearing him essentially laugh at their friendship. Now he’s seen her again, and she’s more beautiful and confident than he remember. This new version of Pen is guarded, vibrant and strangely seductive. Colin knows he shouldn’t want her, but he does, he’s missed her like a piece of his own heart, and now that he’s realized how much she’s always meant to him, he’s going to take her to all the romantic places he knows in their little cross country trip, hoping she will forgive him and hopefully give him a second chance.

This road trip is the last thing Penelope needed to mess with her head. Not now when she's so close to her dream, or at least, what her mother thinks should be her dream. Now Colin has got her second guessing her future, her career and... Her heart. Right when she thought she was over him. But two can play the game and if he wants to seduce her while they get to England, she can raise the stakes too.

All Colin and Penelope know is that once they get home, things between them will be irrecoverably changed
