Science vs. Culture? No man, it’s Indigenous self determination and sovereignty vs an academic institution trying to rake in grant money away from other institutions cuz of the neoliberal structure of grants and believing they’re entitled to bulldoze Native Hawaiians in the name of having their telescope on the mauna, because Indigenous people are always expected to sacrifice everything that is theirs to improve settler lives and wallets.
