anyways happy indigenous history month gyns. here is my personal bannock recipe.

dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, salt wet ingredients: water, oil (i use vegetable oil) take 4 cups of flour, 1/3 cup of sugar (or ½ if you like some sweetness. i personally use ½), 6 teaspoons baking powder, and a pinch or two of salt (DO NOT USE TOO MUCH SALT i did this and had salty bannock oops). add these all together, mix, and then make a well in the middle. add 1/3 cup of oil, and then slowly add 1.5-2 cups water while you knead. knead this until you get a consistency that is rather tough. you may have to add more flour or water, that’s fine, it won’t ruin the bannock. don’t worry too hard if you cant figure out the consistency, as long as it’s sticking together you’re good. BAKE: preheat to 350. Spread your dough out on a cooking sheet, and poke holes in it with a fork. bake 15 minutes, and then flip it, poke more holes, and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown. FRY: just put it in hot oil until it’s golden brown idk i know nothing about frying i just turn the heat on and do it my recommendations: for baked bannock: if you eat meat, bologna and bannock is a staple. or wrapping some wieners in bannock and baking them that way. you can prepare it any way though, it’s bread yknow? jam tastes great with it. a light layer of butter or margarine on warm oven bannock is my personal favorite. the sky is the limit really   my recommendation for fry bread: you know white people tacos? old el paso? yeah, make that, and then use it on the fry bread + your favorite toppings. it will change ur life i promise.

what's up with Steve Hassan, why is he a dick?

just had an unpleasant phone call with him when he was still looking for detrans tokens & some other detrans women found him to be kind of a typical basic male jerk. nothing special!

it truly infuriates me that a good portion of womens clothing feels like… fake clothing. movie prop clothing. clothing that is not actually meant to be worn by human beings (but is still full priced). im thinking of those wafer fuckin thin cotton hoodie sweaters and those flimsy stretchy skin-tight “denim” jeans.

Modern women's clothing feels like doll's clothes made larger

Hey everyone in the notes reading this, I’m so sorry to have to reblog this again but IMMEDIATELY after I reblogged this to warn people this person is a TERF, they reblogged an extremely long post comparing the transgender community to a cult. I’m not kidding. The post literally used the BITE model that was originally created by an ex-cult member to warn others about genuine cults (eg Amish, Jehova’s Witness etc), and tried to compare cult tactics to the transgender community. Please, PLEASE report this person. They are spreading information that is harmful. I would love nothing more than to just ignore this shitty blog but this is getting out of hand now. Finally, a reminder that my blog, supports trans, genderqueer and nonbinary people, and I do not want TERFS or transphobes to interact with me.

I wish it was easier and women could life freely without a threat of violence and I don’t blame women for coping with it by complying however, there is something to say about women who choose to defy men even if it’s just for a few hours, days or a portion of their lives.

gotta say the growing trend of supposedly radical feminist women just straight up saying they don't care about women in unhealthy relationships because they 'should know better' and theyre 'tired of listening to them complain' after they didnt listen to your advice that consisted of 'just break up immediately right now.' i assign u all to reread the chapter from why does he do that? where it talks about how to be a good ally to women in unhealthy/abusive relationships and literally the #1 rule is dont position yourself as knowing best and get angry when they dont listen to your sage wisdom bc really do not know what someone is going through and u are putting suffering women between a rock and a hard place. "oh but of course it's different when it's actually abusive so you cant say i'm victim blaming" LOL the line between "shitty bf" and "abusive bf" is not as clear cut as you think and like 95% of women in abusive relationships cant even articulate that what theyre going thru is abuse but sure youre definitely able to tell from your position as second mutuals once removed, good grief

This is piggybacking off a larger trend of blaming women in bad circumstances generally, I’m thinking of prostituted women in particular, and gyns learn the fucking difference between condoning self destructive and harmful behavior and abandoning and shaming any woman in a hard spot.

to anyone in the areas impacted by the wildfire smoke, my #1 biggest piece of advice as someone whos been dealing with wildfire smoke in the NW united states for years, is build yourself a Corsi-Rosenthal Cube

they perform as well as expensive HEPA air cleaners, and are comparatively VERY inexpensive. all you need is a box fan, 4 air filters, a piece of cardboard, and some duct tape!!!!

i think it took us maybe a half hour to put ours together, if that, and we replace the filters every 3 months. it's really made a HUGE difference, both when the air quality is bad, but also with our allergies
