Quid pro quo

What did you most see of yourself in the character that you play? Angelina: That's so hard to say. I always avoid this question. This question’s so hard for me. Lauren: Well let me jump in here, Angie.[...] I just feel like Angie has so much in common with Thena because - the goddess of war - she is so full of love and she's not afraid to actually step in and fight for what's right. And you see that. She fights for human rights, and we all know Angie for her work, she champions for women's rights...and I feel like she just, you know, you see that within her. Angelina: Thank you. Salma: I gotta say, Angie is obsessed with justice and I think that's a character trait. But she's also incredibly loyal, if you get her. I've seen that; loyal and devoted and you can see that in the relationship with us. She's a survivor and a fighter, and you know what? FEARLESS. Angelina: I'm gonna start crying. Lauren: I so agree with you, Salma. There were moments when we were shooting and Chloe would stand there and give us direction and we would look at each other and nobody would say anything, but usually Angie would step in and say ‘Okay let's see here. So let's go through that again.’ Salma: ‘Let's break it down!’ Kumail: And I also really-- Sorry, we're gonna keep talking about you. Angelina: We can move on to somebody else before I have like a therapy session. I feel very loved. Kumail: Hey, you gave us this task! You could've answered. I thought it was so wonderful how your character carried weakness and strength t the same time [...] it was really exciting to watch.
