Throwback to this dark souls moment that I had in BotW.
glad we’re all having fun
I really wanted to share this is one, as it is my fave part from that unfinished art and I dont want to just plaster his part with the siblings. I feel like I wasnt giving our friend justice XD
saw someone disrespect my boy Bandana Dee on twitter yesterday. Bandana Dee slander will not be tolerated.
i feel like toriel's character is really commonly like. reduced to either Perfect Mom or Evil Woman when it's so much more interesting to look at how her trauma has affected her... toby is extremely good at writing trauma and flawed characters and a lot of people look at his work in a black and white way unfortunately. anyway toriel is one of The Best Characters Ever. i really wish her relationship with flowey was explored more cuz he seems to be so frustrated with both of his parents but he especially cares for toriel, yet the way he views her and talks about her makes him seem like he feels betrayed... or maybe he doesn't understand why she bothers caring for humans when it just gets her hurt in the end... they both have a lot of Projection Issues and i love that toriel says she needs proof that you're strong enough to survive. Because Asriel Wasn't. Her Other Kids Weren't. and then and THEN flowey does the Same Thing. they both just want everyone to be safe and alive and loved. and i really Really like how her fight parallels to asriel's fight where neither of them want to let their child/friend go again but they come to terms with it and forgive themselves... "you can't regret hard choices your whole life" is one of the quotes that Gets Me cuz it's just so perfect for everyone character in this game. do u get it do u see what i mean shes so interesting (explodes)
tldr toriel is one of the best characters in anything ever and i need her to be appreciated immediately 💖
#like how can you not notice that her area screams 'parental trauma over losing a kid' #and her behavior is classic traumatized parent having awkward relationship with surrogate child business #out of all the characters to start with right out of the gate toriel is the best choice #because her personality and hangups set up so many themes you see throughtout the game #and colors how you interact with the other characters each chapter revolves around #the whole thing is about love and relationships and attachments you form to special people in your life #and how the sudden breaking of those connections through death can really mess ya up #but also how you pick yourself up and start learning to love again regardless
One of my roommates cannot stand the way I play minecraft
Instead of looking for diamonds, fighting mobs, trying to go to the nether, doing potions/enchantments/whatever, I like to build these 1-block-wide platforms far above the ground that i walk on to explore without getting lost, attacked or generally inconvenienced. And they hate it
“If you don’t want to get lost just use a compass!” Takes redstone. Also I don’t want to. And on the ground there’s mobs
“Fight the mobs, they’re part of the game!” no. I get scared
“Just use mine carts!” And use all that iron?
“Then use boats and ice!” You need enchantments to collect ice. All my paths take is dirt and ladders (and torches)
“But they’re so UGLY!” Not the point
my paths
so we're just leaving this gold to the notes...?
accidentally fell into somebody’s chimney
They really said
i love how OP is wailing over being set on fire but manages to remember to close the door behind him when he leaves the house.
She sounds like the McElroy’s long lost sister
