Behold! I did an energy spread to get an idea of what to expect in different areas of life each month, AND you can use it to see how it went at the end of each month too! Or if you like to just get an Idea of one sector, that’s super ok too~ In any case, here’s the info:
Monthly Tarot Spread
[1]+[2] -> The (General) Energy of the Month, and a lesson/challenge that you may have work on.
[3]+[4] -> The Physical Energy of the Month, plus it’s lesson/challenge.
[5]+[6] -> The Emotional Energy of the Month, and it’s lesson/challenge.
[7]+[8] -> The Mental Energy of the Month, and it’s lesson/challenge.
[9]+[10] -> The Spiritual Energy of The Month, and the lesson/challenge that goes with it~
I originally wanted to make a big “all year spread”, but I had to make little month spreads because I love to add depth with a second card for each position. You can think of the second card as advice, or what bloqs you from reaching the potential of the main card. Or if you want to make it more quick, just avoid the second card and end up with a nice 5 card cross spread!~
You may want to test it at the start and the end of each month, or maybe in one or the other~ I have to say that after testing it, the start of the month will usually convey what the energy of last month did, and how it lingers and affects the new month, or simply how you progress from one month into the next one!
Add cards, take cards, mix them with Oracles or Runes, just make sure to have fun!~
~May you all have a wonderful day~
Potter’s Quickie at the Bar Spread
This is the 5-card cross I use while reading at @fortunetellerbar. In most respects, it’s a fairly standard cross that I got from Benebell Wen’s Holistic Tarot. It’s a nice snapshot reading, and with the advice cards I pull, can hopefully give folks something more concrete to walk away with.
- Past
- Present
- Future
- Aspirations, goals
- Underlying motivation
- Advice
- Advice or something you need to see
I like to compare each level of the spread to levels of consciousness and understanding. The center row is the conscious level, how we walk through the world. The top row is what we’re reaching for, chasing after. It’s kind of spiritual to me. The bottom row is the feeling in our chest that pushes us, a subconcious feeling or understanding. I often describe it as the Thing we can’t quite put into words. It’s far more visceral and body-feeling to me than the other cards. Advice is advice, and can align any row. I usually just throw them down where ever.
I read 1, 2, and 3 together. My goal is to create a small story about where they were, where they are, and where they’re going. It’s a narrative. Try and find the elements that move or transform from card to card.
4, I look at it like, “what do they want, what are they reaching for?”
5 is that chest feeling I described. Our motivations are often hidden and buried, and reside close to the heart. Think of it this way: this card is well protected by our bones and nourished by our beating heart.
It can be fascinating to see how the present moment, goals, and motivations line up. I don’t always discuss it during a reading, but I notice it.
6 and 7 are pulled after I read through the cross itself. 6 is almost always drawn from the top of the deck. It’s advice. A lot of times, it’s something the person already knows they need to do. 7 can be the same, but more often, I deal from the bottom of the deck. What aren’t they seeing right now? What needs some light, a reminder?
If I’m feeling it, I might pull clarifying cards for a position or two. I use those to dig deeper into the first card, to figure out more.
This reading can be done in about 10 - 20 minutes, depending on the person, the context, and the busyness of the bar. I can use it for longer readings too, but I tend to keep it short. It’s a solid spread that can work with questions or general readings.

Cards are read in the order I have listed their descriptions.
I created this spread in the midst of a really uncomfortable family get together. The intention of this spread is to help validate my discomfort, and help me safely address my discomforts and set my boundaries effectively. So much of the time I’ve been told that I am being “too sensitive” or exhibiting “anti-social behavior” and I am really exhausted trying to come to terms that my discomforts and feelings are just as valid as anyone else’s. Through all those trying situations, this spread was created.
Position One: Discomfort. This position is the cause and root of my discomfort. This card validates for me that what I am feeling is real and that I am able to take appropriate action and address such discomforts.
Position Two: Communication. This position suggests how I can communicate my discomforts calmly and effectively to the best of my ability. Sometimes discomforts can at times leave me in fear of speaking up. This position, in turn, provides me with suggestions on how to get my feelings across so that I can take the burden of the discomfort and create a dialogue for comfort.
Position Three: Boundaries. This position governs how I can safely and securely set my personal boundaries. The suggested advice for this position allows me to create a safe space where one may not be readily available for me, even if position two wasn’t effective. Creating boundaries are important, especially when dealing with those who make us uncomfortable.

Fear can affect us in many ways, often controlling how we think, feel, and act. This spread was created to help bring these fears to light, show how we are affected, and offer advice to how to overcome them.
1, What am I avoiding?
2. What is it that I fear?
3. How am I limiting my self?
4. What aspect of my life/self is causing this?
5. How can I overcome this fear?
6. What do I need to change/embrace?
7. How do I move beyond this limitation?
8. What can I do to overcome my fear?
Card of the night - Strength
A quick, easy spread to see what’s hindering your progress and how to overcome it. Makes a great entry for your Tarot journal!
1. What’s blocking you
2. How to move forward
3. What you can learn
*TW Shadow Work Tarot Spread
Shadow work requires love and patience as it can be extremely stressful if you’re not prepared to face dark truths. Before starting, ground yourself and have a loving and accepting attitude towards yourself even when you see something you don’t like. This spread is to help you find strengths in the darkness.
If you will be interrupted, are feeling imbalanced, have low energy, are busy, and/or cannot handle intense emotions/memories at the moment then save this for another time. I suggest doing this only once a week or even bimonthly at the most to really reflect.
1. What is it about my _____ that I need to work on?
Pull 1 card.
If you lack direction or are overwhelmed then pull two cards. The first card is the topic, the second card is what you need to work on regarding the topic.
Example topics: ego, greed, spirit, love life, social life, attitude, childhood, trauma, fears, addiction, guilt, scars, destructive nature, happiness, appearance, point of view, self esteem, leadership skills, possessiveness, communication, past, health, search for answers, awkwardness, illness, shadow relationship. *This spread is not a replacement for professional mental health.
2. Where does the problem stem from?
Pull 1 to 3 cards. If one card doesn’t explain enough pull more cards.
3. How do I overcome this?
Pull 1 to 3 cards, same as above.
4. What is the lesson I need to take from this?
Pull 1 card to concentrate on the focal point of the lesson.
5-7. What is an unknown factor about this topic that I’ve yet to realize?
Pull 3 cards. Since this is “unknown”, you’ll have to get a bigger picture. This may trigger memories or uncomfortable realizations depending on the topic.
8. What should I do about it?
Pull 1 to 3 cards, same as question 2.
9. What affirmation can I say to get through this?
Pull 1 card.
Think of something short and simple to remember even if they’re just a few key words. If nothing comes to mind immediately, give yourself the space to contemplate as you soak in all this new information.
Notes
- Make bullet points to focus on and what you need to remember and do.
- Maybe have a journal/tag to track your thoughts and revelations.
- Find a friend you can talk to if you need someone.
I created this spread during one of my many three in the morning depression events that leave me feeling like a failure. The intention of this spread is to make me feel better and remind me that “I’m Not Worthless."
Position One: My Strength. This position reminds me that through all that I’ve been through, all the ups, downs, crazy left turns that life has thrown my way I am still here. This position puts my strength and self-worth front and center while reminding me of the badass that I am.
Position Two: Acknowledgment. This position brings the feelings of worthlessness to the forefront. I make sure to look at this card, allow myself to feel my pain, my sadness and then give myself the permission to process it and then let it go. I think acknowledging my feelings is important rather than masking them or covering them up with something else. This position allows me to do that.
Position Three: Self Care. This position is the suggested advice and first step for my self-care and healing. With this position, I become accountable for my thoughts and healing process until I can obtain external resources if needed to better myself and the situation.

This is a spread I designed to help put things in perspective when you’re trying to manifest a vision and your path starts to get a little foggy, when you feel stuck in a rut, lost, or as if you’re running in circles.
Position One - Where You’re At
This position represents your present condition or circumstances in relation to your vision. You might like to think of it as an essential building block or stepping stone.
Some [suggested] questions to ask: What purpose is this serving? How can I make the most of this situation? Why is experiencing this necessary for manifesting my vision?
Position Two - What You’re Blowing Out of Proportion
This indicates an issue you’re exaggerating or an aspect of your current situation that you’re experiencing unnecessary resistance to.
Questions to ask: Why am I experiencing this resistance? What can I learn from it? How can I work toward resolving it?
Position Three - What You’re Taking For Granted
This could be an opportunity or asset that is currently available to you that you’re overlooking or failing to use to your advantage.
Questions to ask: Why am I not receptive to this gift? What am I forfeiting by disregarding it? How can I actively use it to my advantage?
Position Four - The Direction You’re Headed
This card indicates the direction your current actions, behaviors, and/or perspectives are leading you.
Questions to ask: Is this complementary or contradictory to my vision? Which of my actions/behaviors/perspectives are propelling me in this direction?
Optional: If your interpretation of the card revealed for this position does not seem to be in alignment with or conducive to your vision, pull a card for Position 4A to shed light on how you can go about redirecting your course.
Position Five - What’s Holding You Back
This represents something that is holding you back, bogging you down, and ultimately keeping you “stuck”, whether it be tangible or intangible.
Questions to ask: Why am I holding onto this? What does it stem from? How can I go about releasing/resolving it?
Position Six - What Will Propel You Forward
This is the key to bringing some clarity to your path (or at least confidence to your uncertainty) and getting back on track.
Questions to ask: Why is this important? How can I actively cultivate and employ it?
Position Seven - The Nature of Your Vision
This position reveals the quality of your vision– it might represent the underlying energy attached to it, what it will bring into/how it will affect your life and the lives of others, or perhaps whether it’s authentic and worthwhile or superficial and unrealistic.
Questions to ask: Why is this important to me? How does this reflect my intentions? What purpose will this serve the whole?
Position Eight - What You’re Romanticizing
This is an aspect of your vision that desire has distorted to some extent, something you’re putting on a pedestal, obsessing about, or otherwise over-emphasizing which is giving you tunnel vision.
Questions to ask: Why am I attributing so much value to this? How can I bring this type of energy into my life right now rather than relying on my attained vision to produce it?
Position Nine - What You’re Overlooking
This is a potential obstacle or difficulty inherent in your vision that you’re not taking into consideration. For every gift a curse, every success a burden. This should not discourage you from pursuing your vision but rather encourage you to pace yourself on the journey and brace yourself for what lies at the end of it.
Questions to ask: What do I need to understand about this? How can I prepare myself for it?
