Gwen receiving so much criticism over her character arc in ATSV is wild cuz that's literally the plot of the movie, that's what the movie is all about and that's what made it this good. That's what's intended to happen, she's repeating the mistake with a friend, and going for a redemption. Her first lines are literally "I hurt him and he wasn't the only one". You immediately know something bad will happen between her and Miles and that it will be, if not entirely, then mostly, her fault, which she is aware of when she's telling the story. The movie doesn't portray her as the best character and definitely not as the worst one, it gives her character development, just like her dad wasn't there for her at first and by the end of the film he was. No one's saying that she was entirely right, but that just like her dad, she saw that she wasn't there for a loved one and decided to try to fix the problem before It's too late - which is so much more than what a lot of characters usually do. Literally everyone makes mistakes, it's how she handled it that's great and as long as she doesn't repeat it (same for her dad too).

not to mention mirroring Miles. Gwen doesn't have a support system and is at the mercy of Sociaty and ends up doing things she regrets. Whereas Miles has a support system, and it's that support system that helps him be self-confident and say go to hell with the canon idea.

Remember that moment in ITSV, when Miles first meets his world's Spider-Man and their spider senses do the thing?

The background behind Peter is as we'd expect; the classic red and blue.

But at first Miles' background is green and purple, two colors he's never associated with at all throughout the movie. As the moment goes on, it shifts to match Peter's.

We are literally watching Miles' fate change and the anomaly happen.

It's well established that the spider that bit him was not supposed to even be in that universe, meaning our Miles was supposed to be something else before it happened.

This isn't true for ITSV, but in every other version of Spider-Man, the main color scheme for the Prowler is green and purple.

Our Miles was supposed to become the next Prowler in his world. And the only reason he's not, is because of the original Prowler. Miles switched his fate with Earth-42 Miles.

man the site that used to be full of people horny for the onceler now getting really hyped about tree law is some serious poetic irony

I like to think when Riju is in turmoil, Link knows how to help her, because he went through the exact same thing before, and it was Urbosa who helped him out

Making jokes about Noir being colorblind/not understanding colors is how we cope with how unbelievably powerful his brain is

i just think he's neat:)

i love his design so much it's such a pretty design the colors that they chose are spectacular to my pea brain

and the representation!!1!2 SHUT UP ITS SO COOL I LOVE SHIT LIKE THIS

broke the master sword? no worries! find its evil version instead!

as ganondorf broke the master sword i think it'd be very fair if link could get Demise's Sword. as a treat. (because stealing his horse isn't enough.)

I'm back with another crack meme, let's see how well this one does

If it does as well as my New Yorker Post then I'll make a navigation list for the memes :D

Bonus:

Something REALLY interesting about this scene

At the beginning of the scene Miles confronts Gwen about the 'small elite strike-team' comment.

Gwen lies and plays it off, saying that most of them are part-time anyway.

IMMEDIATELY after that in the next line dialogue, Hobie confronts Gwen and asks her 'Gwendy, how much have you told him about his place in all this? - Maybe not enough.'

Hobie is expressioning disappointment towards Gwen. He doesn't approve of her lying to Miles, knowing what's gonna happen to him. He doesn't agree with them keeping him in the dark - which is why later in the scene he says

'I haven't gotten a Scooby Doo, mate. But that's what they want.'

He's warning Miles that they're keeping in him the dark, on purpose.

ONCE AGAIN Hobie showing foward thinking and outwardly disapproving of the obviously unfair treatment that Miles is given. He's not angry at Gwen, but he's willing to tell her straight up that she's not doing or telling Miles enough to protect him.

Miles deserved to know Miguel's motives BEFORE meeting him. That's why he pointed it out then.

He's ALWAYS looking out for Miles

Just found out my facebook birding group is public because my cousin (a lawyer who is not into birds) casually said to me “saw you couldn’t identify a willet the other day… pretty embarrassing”
