WEEEE, we did it homies. Febuwhump 2023 is completed. thank you @febuwhump for the prompts. this was very new for me, trying to write for characters that already exist lol. I wish I had more time to actually write most of these better but life happened so oops. anyway this was very fun and I'll see you people on the other side. :b

Febuwhump 2023 Day 28

"You're Safe Now"

    "Kira?! What's going on?" Pit stood up as the portal appeared behind the girl. She turned back and glanced at the swirling mass and back towards the younger angel.

    "Don't worry, I'll be okay. I'll see you around." The boy ran towards her as the portal pulled her in. She opened her eyes to find the floor rippling as she moved. Her eyes locked onto the hooded figure as they appeared in front of her.

    "Glad you could make it. Don't worry about your friend, she's safe with her master now."

    "Good, now it's just you and me right?"         "Precisely. Two supernatural beings, everything's on the line if you want to get everyone back home."

     "No boundaries right?"

     "Just life and death. Winner lives and loser, you know." They ran their finger over their neck. Her eyes narrowed as she lowered her body and spread her wings. Her body tensed as they stood still, only a few feet away from her. They ran at her, a black spear formed from the same material as the portals in hand. She dodged him and clawed at their hood. It ripped along the back leaving frayed ends. The hood still covering their face. They dodged each other over and over, landing minimal blows. "Heh, you're good. Keeping up with me. Now let's see how you do chasing."

Survivor's Guilt

    "Do you ever get sad about being through only angel?" Kira sat on the edge of the temple's island. Her eyes locked on the clouds around them. The young angel's question still lingering in her mind.

     "I do, a lot. Mostly because where I'm from, black wings are looked down upon as cursed."

     "I see," Pit sat at the edge of the grounds next to her. His small white feathers blew in the wind. "We don't see it that way here, but we only have Pittoo here that has black wings."

      "Mm, I feel like I shouldn't be alive but it's just how it is. They're all gone and that's how it is." She clutched her head, a voice ringing through her mind.

     "It's time."

Forced to Choose

    Kira found herself lost again in the starry place from before. Her eyes wandered through the dark sky. "Welcome back, I see you've been taking your situation with stride," Kira turned to face the hooded figure and nodded. "I see, well I think it's time to spice it up again." They waved their hand and the girl's eyes widened.

    "Mm!" Sachi struggled against her bindings. Her arms were bound behind her back and her feet were kept close to a ring on the floor with chains.

     "Aw, isn't this cute? Your little friend here thinks she's all tough."

     "Let her go!"

     "Oh, fighting words huh? I've rarely heard you raise your voice like that."

     "I said let her go."

     "Ah ah ah, not a step closer. I'll let her go if you agree to play a little game with me."

     "What game?"

     "A little game of sparing. Me, you, one v one. No limits."

     "And if I win?"

     "All your friends get to go home, you included."

     "And..."

     "If you lose, they all stay where they are right now, forever. You will die," Kira turned her gaze down, the girl's was body stiff and her thoughts racing. "Tick tock, Kira. You can't get out of this if you want to go home back to that little cutie of yours," Her gaze shot up and her pupils shrank.

    "You... you wouldn't."

    "That little girl you like back home, Anna right? She's been worried sick over you. It would be a shame if she saw you die here."

    "Don't... don't bring her into this."

    "Oh, I won't, unless you make me."

    "Fine. I'll play your little game."

    "Splendid, the rules are simple, you must kill me before I kill you. There are no rules about powers though. Do what you must, to kill the other."

     "Mm, okay."

     "Wonderful, I'll let you know when we'll start. We'll meet back here, but this time we'll finally be face to face." The girl shot up from her bed. Her breath was fast as she frantically looked around. Her room on the edge of the temple was dark with the night sky illuminating the floor. She slowed her breathing before laying back down, her thoughts all focused on how to beat her opponent.

Febuwhump 2023 Day 25

Assumed Dead

    Kira's eyes finally focused. The bright light made the girl shift her wings. "Lady Paluetna! She's awake!" Her eyes shot toward the voice above her. Kira's eyes widened and she quickly backed up. Her eyes locked into the figure before her. His brown hair curled the same way hers did. The girl's gaze shifted to the white plumage coming from his back. "Whoa, she... she does look a lot like Pittoo." Kira placed her hand over her forehead and flinched. Her skin was back to its normal pale color, free of the red stains from before.

    "Wh... where... am I?"

    "Oh, right. Sorry about that, you're in Skyworld."

    "H... huh?"

    "High above the world on floating islands, safe from any threats."

    "I... what are you?"

    "I'm servant to the Goddess Paluetna. An angel!"

    "I..." her eyes teared up. "You're... like..."

    "My apologies Pit, I got so wrapped up in things and I couldn't get here right away."

    "No no, it's okay. She just woke up just a minute ago." Kira glanced over at the green haired goddess. She watched the goddess silently, her mind racing. "Greetings little one, I understand your confusion, but hopefully I can explain everything you ask."

     "I... I don't understand... they were all wiped out."

     "Who?"

     "Angels, I..."

     "Oh, they were here too."

     "Oh... I..."

     "It's okay little one. You've been through a lot."

     "Am... am I dead?"

     "Oh no no, you're still alive and well. We thought you were dead when we first found you."

     "I see, that's good, I guess."

     "I'll see to you that you are cared for while you're with us."

     "Th... thank you... Lady Paluetna."

Febuwhump 2023 Day 24

Bloody Clothes

    Kira ran after the group. Her body was weak from the bindings and the small cage. She requested to be last in the group in case of any more bandits. More thieves raided the camp and started to chase after the students. Kira lingered behind to give them an opportunity to get ahead. Arrows flew past her as the sound of horses drew closer. The girl flew low to the ground trying to get away. She twisted around the trees and stayed just close enough to the group so they could hear her if things turned for the worse. She almost lost them before she screamed in agony. An arrow pierced her wing and she fell to the ground. The girl cried out before struggling to get up. The horses drew closer before she got her footing and bolted after the group on all fours. Her wing was dragged behind her.

    Garreg Mach's gates grew closer, and she used all her strength to reach them. Byleth and Claude stood at the doors, their weapons raised to ward off the mob following Kira. She kept running as the two battled the people that drew too close with ranged attacks. All but a few were dead, yet they still pursued the winged girl. She violently turned around and clawed at the one directly behind her. Kira leaped around her and bit into their flesh. The girl aiming for all the weak points. She jumped to another as the first one fell, quickly ending the life of the thief. Kira growled and quickly charged at the final one. They held up their sword and deflected the girl with ease. They swung and Kira cried as the blade landed a large cut on her ankle. She swiftly took out the last enemy. Her claws, mouth, and chest were stained red. The girl's mouth stayed agape as blood dripped from her sharp teeth. The Professor and House Lord ran toward her, but a blinding light stopped them in their tracks. Kira fell to the ground as the light swallowed her whole once more.

You'll Have to Go Through Me

    Kuro's eyes fluttered open. She shifted and looked around with hazy eyes. The girl tried to move but found her ankles and wrist were bound tightly. Her wrists behind her back and over the black wings on her back. "K... Kira?" A loud bang came from next to her head. She turned to find Kira next to her. A muzzle covered the angel's mouth and lower jaw. Kira whined as she shifted in her small cage. She desperately tried to pull the muzzle off but her wrists were cuffed to the bars.

   "Good morning cuties."

   "Mm!" Kira thrashed, her tail moving back and forth.

   "Quiet down little one, at least I'm not treating you like they did."

   "Where... where am I?"

   "That's not important, let's just say you'll be on your way soon."

   "Please, let us go."

   "Mm, I'm getting paid good money for you two. Especially that one next to you. I had a huge client pay me good money for her."

    "No! Please!"

    "Sorry, but..."

    "You'll have to go through me before I let you take her," Nikko growled at the boss. "Let them go, now."

    "Nikko!"

    "Oh, pretty boy thinks he can save them, well you better turn back while you still can." The boy charged at him, but the boss dodged and struck him with the handle of a dagger. "That's a cute attempt, you want to try again?" His breath was cut short as a sword pierced his chest.

    "I thought we finished you all up, guess we missed a few. You got the rest of them right Claude?"

    "All clear Teach."

    "Good, come on, let's get you guys home."

Febuwhump 2023 Day 22

Can't Scream

    "We should be almost done here," Byleth struck down one of the enemies with her sword. The rest of the students followed her lead with Kuro, Nikko, and Kira staying close to the group. Kira wielded the sword that came with her, Nikko used a silver sword, and Kuro learned basic magic. They stayed close to the Professor and Claude as they went out for battle. The Golden Deer house wrapped up the last few bandits and stopped to rest. Kira sniffed the ground, following the unfamiliar scent. "Good work out there everyone."

   "Thanks Teach," Claude smiled and turned to attend to the students.

   "Hey babe, you feeling well?" Kuro walked up to Nikko. His white wings extended out to catch the breeze.

   "Oh, hi. I'm doing better, still recovering." He smiled back at her before turning to face the woods. "Kira hasn't come back, maybe we should look for her."

    "Yeah, maybe," Kuro started walking a little way into the woods. Nikko quickly waved to the Professer before following Kuro from a distance behind. She kept going in further before finding Kira collapsed on the ground. "Kira?" She was still and unmoving. Kuro approached up to the fallen girl before something quickly fell over her mouth. She tried to scream but it came out muffled and quiet. Her body grew weak and she fell to the ground.

    "Haha, that's a nice one you got over there."

    "Yeah, she's nothing like that animal over there." The two men laughed as they pulled the two girls into nets and rope. They quickly skulked out of there and ran toward the woods.

    Nikko glared at where they were. He ran back towards the group, racing to just get Kuro and Kira back.

Febuwhump 2023 Day 21

Shackled

    Insanity paced back and forth. His ankles were bound to the floor by a small pair of shackles. The few reliable witnesses testified for the young god, but he still agreed to the few precautionary measures. Mainly, he'd stay in the basement with minor restraints. He turned as footsteps rang through the silent stairway. "Insanity?"

    "Commander,"

    "I've come to bring you dinner."

    "Thank you."

    "Mm, I still can't believe what happened."

    "I know. There's always something with her."

    "What do you mean by that?"

    "There's always something happening to her. Seems the universe always has something up its sleeve with her."

     "I see, well, I best be off then."

     "Alright, thanks again Commander."

Febuwhump 2023 Day 20

Knife Wound

     Kiran quietly walked out of Nick's room. Her hand fiddled with his pocket knife. The small black handle concealed a gray blade. She pushed the trigger and the blade flipped out. Her hand pushed it back into its handle and she walked through the hallway. Both her hands and the blade, hidden snugly in the front pocket of her black oversized hoodie. Kiran rounded the corner when the whole palace shook. Her extra wings flew out and all six flared out. The archangel's tail swished back and forth. She turned around, trying to find the source. Before she could turn back forward, she was pulled back and engulfed by a bright light.

    She opened her eyes to find herself surrounded by clouds. The wind rushed past her and she quickly opened her wings. Her six black wings caught the wind and she glided toward the ground. She didn't know how long she was up in the air but something on the horizon caught her eye. Kiran glided down, a town drew closer. She landed outside of the city and hid her extra wings. The archangel tucked in her remaining wings close to her body before walking into the town. She passed people and quietly walked the streets. All the buildings were simple and made straight to the point. The bricks were aged but still stood steadily. People walked past her heading out into many different ally ways. She bumped into a human just a little taller than her. "Oh, sorry."

    "Hey watch what you're doing!"

    "Okay, I'm sorry." She turned and started walking again. The figure she passed grunted at her. Kiran quietly started to leave before she gasped and clutched her stomach. A hand quickly reached into her pocket and yanked the knife out. She looked down to find the hand off her and the blade taken out of her pocket. "H... hey... give that back."

     "Not in hell pretty one." He started to run and quickly grew further and further. She looked down to find light pouring out of her wounds like blood. She quickly ran up to him and yanked the blade out of his hand. He pulled out his own blade and she took a step back, her eyes locked fiercely on the thief. He rushed at the archangel, his blade poised to stab her. Kiran dodged with ease and faced him. He ran back toward her and she dodged again. The same exchange repeated itself over and over again before Kiran felt something cold enter near her stomach. She fell to the ground, the knife hidden away in her pocket. The girl glanced to find a large man standing above her. She growled and was met with a kick to the gut. She gasped for air and tried to get up. Her futile attempts were snuffed out as they kicked her back to the ground. Her head pulsed and light kept pouring out of her abdomen in small streams. More light dripped out from her mouth as she coughed up more light. The girl almost passed out before a blinding light sped over her. The men quickly fled leaving her in an alley, alone. A figure walked over her, small wings protruding from their back.

     "I... I can't believe it."

Febuwhump 2023 Day 19

"You Deserve This"

     Kira blinked awake. Her eyes were met with a sea full of stars. They widened in wonder as she stood up on all fours. The ground rippled with every step she took, as if walking on water. She quietly wandered before a figure stood before her. "Um, hello?" The figure turned to face her, their face veiled by a hood. "Um, who are you?"

   "That's not of importance."

   "Mm, where am I?"

   "Also not of importance."

   "Mm, are you the one behind this?"

   "I am." Kira's eyes widened and she drew closer to the robed human being.

   "I... wh... why?"

   "Why what?"

   "Why are you doing this? Why me?"

   "Oh, that's simple. Because it's all for my entertainment."

   "Wh... what..."

   "Your life has been... too quiet. I wanted to see what would happen if I were to traumatize you again."

   "What?! But, I don't get it. Why would you want to make people suffer?"

   "I told you, because it's fun. Things get boring around here. So I like to cause... a little chaos for humans. Besides, you deserve it."

    "I..."

    "Your life has been very dull. It's just you and that little family of yours. I wanted to see you in new places, experience new things, and you know... torture you a little."      "B... but... I..."

    "Don't even say that 'it's not true,' shit. It's as real as those friends you've made back on Pardis."

    "I..."

    "It's almost daytime, I'll be seeing you around little angel." They flicked their wrist and disappeared. Kira cried as she tried to reach them. A pitch black appendage reached out and yanked her backward. She shot up, her eyes wide. Her breath was ragged as she looked around. The infirmary of Garreg Mach was as quiet as ever. Kuro and Nikko were asleep in the medical bed near her. She gazed out the window, her mind racing. The girl stayed quiet as small tears trailed down her cheek.

Febuwhump 2023 Day 18

Can't Stay Awake

     Kira barely opened her eyes. Her vision cleared up and she tried to look around.

    "Kira!" Someone drew closer to her. The girl whined as they drew close. "Hey, it's me. Nikko and I missed you." Kira tried to sit up, her body unable to lift her head. "Hey hey, please don't do that," Kuro placed a hand on the angel's shoulder.

    "What's going on?"

    "Oh, Professor Byleth, Professor Manuela, my friend has finally awakened." Kira tried to look in the direction Kuro was.

    "That's wonderful, it looks like the healing spells have worked." Kira finally lifted her head to see the blue haired figure from before. "How is Nikko?"

    "He... can't stay awake. He's only awake for brief periods, but his fever has gone down."

    "Good, good. Kira is that right?" The angel looked towards the one called Byleth. "It seems you came here the same way these two were. You're from a different world right?" Kira nodded, her wings shifted and she looked down. Her chest was wrapped in bandages and her wing also bandaged. A long black coat lay across her back, covering her top half. The room was small with two beds. A shelf full of bottles was across the room.

    "Hey teach!" A voice came from the door.

    "Come in Claude," a young looking male entered the room and closed the door behind him. "Remember where we found that girl in the woods? Well, I went back out there and found this near that same spot." He pulled out a long steel sword. The handle curved slightly and had two triggers on the top half. "This is one weird looking sword. It has buttons and other strange things on it." Kira's eyes widened and she moved.

    "Oh my, is this yours?" She turned to Kira. The girl nodded and the Professor walked over to her, with the blade in hand.

    "So she's finally awake? I'm glad our efforts have paid off." Nikko shifted and Kuro moved quickly over to him.

    "Nikko! Hey," his eyes opened and he looked over toward her.

    "K... Kuro..."

    "Hi babe, it's okay," she clutched his hand. "Don't strain yourself."

    "Is that Kira?" Kuro nodded and rubbed his head.

    "She came here just a few days ago."

    "H... how long have we been here?"

    "About a week."

    "I... see..." His eyes grew heavy and he fell asleep again.

    "It's okay, rest. I'll be here with you."

Febuwhump 2023 Day 17

Silent Tears

     Insanity grasped at thin air. Nothing except her overcoat and crushed gear was left. He picked up her stuff and walked on top of the roof. Tears slid down his cheek as he held onto her coat tightly. The town grew silent as news of Kira's status spread amongst the Scouts. Insanity composed himself before joining the rest of the Regiment to return back to base.

Febuwhump 2023 Day 16

Semi Conscious

     The light subsided, leaving Kira alone and in the woods. She tried to move, but her body refused. Her breathing grew shallow as her vision darkened. She didn't know how much time passed in silence before she heard footsteps. A voice spoke, but Kira couldn't identify or distinguish it. Black boots came in front of her, she tried to look up but everything grew blurry. All she could make out was blue hair. More people slowly approached her, she whined causing some to flinch. The girl was picked up by a figure with dark blue hair. She tried to see where she was going before she completely blacked out.

Febuwhump 2023 Day 15

Self Sacrifice

Kira and Insanity stood on the roof of the local bell tower. The rest of the squad were around them on various rooftops. Another titan breakout moved towards a nearby city, the Regiment was requested to stop the advance before it got too close to the walls. The two have been staying with the Scouts for almost two months, helping with their expeditions and other duties. Kira's tail flowed in the gentle breeze as she sniffed the air.

"They're drawing close. The wind reeks of blood." Erwin walked up next to Kira. His eyes locked on the horizon.

"You remember the plan, right?"

"Insanity and I will lure them away from the town and the rest of the Corp will take care of the rest." He nodded and shot a flare. The green smoke trailed behind and Kira jumped off the tower. Insanity quickly followed her with his gear. She sped up with the gas and glided toward the oncoming front line. The young god quickly caught up to her and disconnected his gear. He grew large enough to rival the onslaught of titans. Kira quickly jumped up onto his shoulder, her blade drawn. Insanity roared and ran towards the front line. He turned sharply towards the trees and Kira flew off him. The girl quickly sliced through the nape of each titan she came across. She flew around in wide arcs taking out those who grew too close to his own nape.

Insanity tore through the tree line, and a large group of the ravenous humanoid creatures ran after him. After the god made it to the woods, the forest shook as more gas tanks and grappling hooks fired. At least half of the Regiment went to work cutting down each foe with ease. Kira swooped down, finishing the last one. Her blade was cloaked by steam from blood clinging to the steel.

"Alright let's head back to finish up any stragglers." Insanity held back for a minute before heading toward the town. Kira flew where the horses were being kept hidden away. Many of the scouts already left, leaving Kira almost alone with a few horses scattered around the trees.

Febuwhump 2023 Day 14

Captivity

     Kira sat against the wall. Insanity was chained to the floor by his ankle. The girl kept her head low. Armin sat next to her, his gaze moved from his book to Kira. She kept her overcoat in her hands, leaving her tattoo exposed.

    "How long have you been here Kira?"

    "A few weeks now. I've been cared for by the Survey Corp and I'm seen as a valuable asset here, so I've been managing."

    "I see."

    "We've had to keep me and now you hidden away from the military police. The government wouldn't take us too kindly."

   "Kira? Armin?" The two turned towards the stairs. Mikasa came down the stairs with a basket. "Hange wanted me to check on you two, and bring you your dinners."

    "Oh, Mikasa, thank you," Armin replied. Kira returned her gaze back to the ground. The girl's wings stayed put as her meal was placed in front of her. She looked back toward Insanity and then back at her food. Kira took her dinner and placed it in front of the young god before returning back to her spot from before.

   "Kira you didn't have to."

   "I'm not hungry." He didn't refuse her gift and ate. She moved onto her stomach, her brand poking out from under her top. The girl caught to two scouts looking at her arm and back. "Is there something you want to know about them?"

    "Oh, I... I didn't mean to,"

    "It's fine. It's not like nobody knows anymore. And... I've grown to live with them. It's a part of me I have to deal with." The room grew silent and Kira shifted her wings.

    "I understand how you feel," Kira glanced over to find Mikasa rubbing her arm. "My mother when I was young, gave me a mark for my heritage. I've kept it hidden for as long as I can remember." The winged girl rubbed her own arm, her hand going over her tattoo.

    "I'm sorry you had to go through that." Kira placed her head on her arms and turned away. She closed her eyes and opened them to find a pair of boots in front of her. The girl looked up to find Armin standing above her. He held out a piece of bread in front of her. She took the half loaf and nibbled on it. The blonde boy rubbed her head and the girl's cheeks grew pink.

    "It's getting late Armin, we should get going."

    "Alright, Kira are you coming?" The winged girl glanced back at Insanity.

    "I think I'm going to stay here for the night."

    "Okay, I'll make sure to let Eren know you're down here."

    "Thank you, you two."

Febuwhumo 2023 Day 13

Forced to Hurt a Loved One

    "Kira," the door opened. "Commander needs you. You too Four Eyes." She turned and met eyes with Levi. The winged girl got up on all fours slowly, her wings stretching out as she walked towards the door. Kira's hands trembled as she followed the Captain. Hange followed next to her.

    "Captain, do you know what this is for?"

    "Not the faintest. Erwin just requested me to take you to the meeting room that's all the information I have." Kira turned the corner at the bottom of the stairs to be greeted by Erwin's gaze and the rest of the Survey Corp. She swallowed the lump in her throat as the three approached the Commander. "I didn't expect the entire Scouting Regiment to be here for this," the Captain mumbled. The girl quietly approached the Commander, all eyes on her. Her own gaze wandered around to find Insanity bound and sitting on a bench in the middle of the room.

Febuwhump 2023 Day 12

"Can You Hear Me?"

     "You've made sure to send the rest of the students back right?"

     "They are already on the way. I've made sure they will get there before us with a note for the faculty."

     "We can't stay here too long. The boy is getting worse." The Professor walked back to Kuro, followed by a younger male. She placed a hand on his forehead. "Let's get moving, we don't have much time to spare. Kuro, I'm going to need you to fly right above Claude's wyvern. We can't have people see you from the ground. Your wings should give us cover from above." Kuro nodded and looked toward the male. His green eyes grew wide at the sight of her.

    "T... Teach... am I seeing things or do those kids have wings?"

    "You are correct. Wings, horns, and tails. We can't have anyone else see them right now. The note explains the situation and to make sure nobody comes to my quarters."

    "So you'll be taking care of them?"

    "With Manuela's help, I plan on keeping them together in my room while the boy heals up."

    "I see, well we should get going. It's dark so we'll get some coverage." Claude led a large brown wyvern toward the group. It sniffed the girl and waited patiently for orders. Kuro held Nikko, his face red.

    "We're getting help, baby you okay?" He grew still and mumbled. "Baby? Can you hear me? Please, don't fall asleep." She held him close and listened to his heart. "Come on baby, please. Say anything. I need to know if you're still here."

     "Mm, K... Kuro..."

     "Shh, it's okay. We're getting help."

     "We don't have much time let's go." Byleth picked up Nikko and wrapped her overcoat around his shoulders. Claude waited on top of his mount, the Professor pulled herself up onto the wyvern with Nikko placed between the two. Kuro stood up and waited, her wings ruffled. "Ready?" Claude and Kuro nodded, and he took off with Kuro close behind.
