april drawing challenge

It’s almost time for april, so it’s almost time to draw something every day!

To join you simply draw something every day, and then you post it online, preferably the same day. There’s this official tumblr, but you are free to post your art anywhere else you like too!

You can post in the tags #april drawing challenge, and #drawpril, or you can submit your work to our official tumblr!

BUT that’s not all! To make it a fun experience for everyone we also ask for you to interact with the other people joining the challenge and to comment, like and reblog their work!

Frequently asked questions

Are there prompts or challenges provided? Yes, there are! They are posted every day a bit past midnight CEST, so everyone has enough time to consider them. However, you don’t need to follow the prompts! You can make your own challenge list, follow a prompt list you found online a couple months ago, or take suggestions from friends, anything and everything!

Is it bad if I miss a day? No, of course not! Sometimes real life just gets in the way, so don’t be upset at yourself. You can catch up if you want, or you can leave it be. The only real reason this challenge exists is to motivate you to draw, and to get you to share your art with people online. (It’s not that scary I promise!)

Do I really have to react to other people’s art? Of course I can’t make you do anything, but you know that feeling when someone tells you something nice about your art? Yeah, we want to spread the good vibes around.

The blog hasn’t responded to my art? Is it not good enough? Are you ignoring me? Do you hate me? Should I message you about it again and again? I swear, I try to reblog everything I see. Sometimes things get lost in the wrong tag, sometimes tumblr eats stuff, and sometimes I’m just a busy person. I really want to add at least a small comment, so I need some time to go through the tags. Also depending on how busy the tags get, I’ll try to give some different people exposure.
