Books in my version of LoSH that I know is unabashedly a rip-off of X-men's HoxPox:

Legion of Super-heroes: The main book primarily focuses on the major characters associated with the team as the do their thing.

Adventure Comics: An anthology series primarily focusing on The Legion's other members who don't get enough screen-time in the main book or sub-teams like the Espionage Squad, The Academy, or the Subs.

L.E.G.I.O.N.: With the Legion far greater than ever Brainiac 5 decides to re-establish the Licensed Extra-Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network on the farther rims of UP space alongside Colossal Boy & other Legionnaires.

Legionnaires: A book primarily focusing on Projectra, Karate Kid, Ferro Lad, Blok, White Which, & Dragonmage as they explore the magical aspects of the 31st Century.

Legion Lost: A book featuring Kono, & characters normally associated with the name before like Monstress, Shikari, Timber Wolf, & Tyroc alongside new characters like Radius Lad, are exploring the Second Galaxy.

Valor: A solo title featuring Mon-El

R.E.B.E.L.S.: A Legion book focusing on a group of reformative villains that joined the Legion (Ron-Kar, Echo, Spider-Girl, Flederwebb, Soultaker, & Sade) Led by Sun Boy to do down & dirtier missions.

Legion of Substitute Heroes: 12 issue maxi focusing on the Subs.

Lil’ Slugger

The enigmatic menace known only as Lil’ Slugger is a corporal manifestation of panic and anxiety, a presence generated and intensified through mass hysteria who plagued the bureau of Musashino, Tokyo, with a series of brutal and unprovoked physical attacks.  Appearing as a young adolescent, riding inline skates and wielding a golden baseball bat, the Lil’ Slugger would target those individuals experiencing extreme psychological duress.  The rising fear of his attacks only acted to intensify people’s stress, offering the entity greater power and leading to more and more assaults.  It was not long before the wide spread panic had engulfed nearly all of Musashino.

Ironically, those who were assaulted by Lil’ Slugger found their lives actually improving.  Having a clearly identified figure to act as the focus of their anxieties provided an odd sense of relief… as though it was easier to fear a boogyman rather than the more diffuse stressors of ever day life.

As the specter of Lil’ Slugger continued to spread throughout Musashino, a pair of investigators, Keiichi Ikari and Mitsuhiro Maniwa, were tasked with tracking down the nebulous origins of the threat and apprehending the culprit.  Through painstaking effort, these detectives were able to discover that Lil’ Slugger had inadvertently been created by a celebrated cartoonists named Tsukiko Sagi who was coping with the accidental death of her dog.

The young woman had been walking her dog and accidentally let go of its leash.  The dog wandered into traffic and was hit and killed by a car.   The trauma of it all was too much for Tsukiko to contend with. She created a subconscious fiction that the dog’s death was not her fault but rather it had been killed by a delinquent boy on skates who bludgeoned the dog with a baseball bat.

The psychic energy of this lie somehow manifested the Lil’ Slugger into being.  It was an embodiment of trauma and denial that continued to feed off of the stress and anxiety of the city.  Once the truth of his inception was brought to life, once the unconscious origins of the entity were made conscious, Lil’ Slugger ceased to exist.

The villain did not have any actual dialogue, yet his vocal sound effects were provided by actor Daisuke Sakaguchi.  The Lil’ Slugger appeared in the anime maxi-series, Paranoia Agent, debuting on May 28th, 2005.

Weird of me to be supportive of Alan Scott's gay rep when I've been so critical on DC's other LGBT rep in recentcy.

Probably bias nature given I'm a fan of the JSA but honestly I think Tynion's handling of Alan coming out was well handled, Acknowledging his love life while finally coming to terms with who he really is. & Sheridan does a decent job putting some actual stakes in the story for Alan before he came out publicy.

I also just basically have more hope for him as a longer standing gay character for DC who A) won't devolve into only thinking & caring about his partner, or B) Disappear into the background after 15 minutes of fame. He's one of the 3 faces of the JSA so you can't just sideline him like you do a lot of these other characters.

Had to see what exactly the controversy regarding Alan Scott's new series was & seriously it's just people bitchin about him being gay?

I honestly thought it was something oversensitive regarding Hoover blackmailing him but seriously? Grown men bitchin about the Boomer GL being gay? & Bounding Into Comics pedophile supporting ass stating "Alan was raped by Hoover" (& I bet you that's solely sympathy for Hoover given that site)?

Goddamnit you people suck.

Skeletor

Keldor had been the half brother of King Randor of Eternia. An acclaimed tactician and sorcerer, he lent his skills to protecting the wellbeing of Randor’s many subjects.  Nonetheless, Keldor harbored deep resentment toward his half brother and coveted his position as king.

Seeking enhanced power and magical knowledge, Keldor sought out the fiendish Hordak, ruler of the Evil Horde.  Hordak accepted Keldor as an apprentice and soon made him lieutenant of his forces.  At some point, Keldor was severely wounded.  Hordak healed him yet it resulted in Keldor’s face and head resembling a skinless skull.  With his augmented powers and ghoulish appearance, Keldor took on the new moniker of ‘Skeletor.’

After Hordak fled to Etheria, Skelitor took over his former masters base of operations on Snake Mountain.  From there he raised an army to try to take over Eternia.  His efforts toward this end have been regularly thwarted by He-Man and his allies.

Actor Alan Oppenheimer provided the voice for the villain.  Skeletor first appeared in the pilot episode of He-Man and The Masters of The universe, airing on September 5th, 1983.

Profiles in Villainy

The Evil Queen

Lady Grimhilde Malis, erstwhile known as The Evil Queen, was a vile and ambitious tyrant.  She gained tremendous magical powers by selling herself body and soul to the evil spirits of the Harz Mountains.  She went on to gain her royal position by marrying the widowed King, giving her rule over his kingdom following his death. As the realm's new queen, her every word was law, and all trembled in mortal fear of her wrath.

The vain Queen used her magic to make herself the most beautiful woman in the lands.   She owned a magical mirror that she frequently gazed upon. She regularly asked this magical looking glass who is the fairest in the realm.  ‘Magic Mirror on the wall,' she would query, 'who is the fairest one of all?’ And each time the mirror would reply that it was she.  One day, however, the mirror stated that the fairest of the realm was now the young princess, the Queen’s stepdaughter, Snow White.

The Queen was sent into an envious rage.  She dispatches her Huntsman to slay Snow White.  Yet the Huntsman was taken by Snow White’s beauty and innocence and he chose to spare her, telling her of the threat and helping her to hide in the woods.  Deep in this secluded forest, Snow White found refuge in a cottage and was cared for by seven kindly dwarves.

Ultimately discovering that she had been betrayed by her Huntsman, The Queen decided to kill Snow White herself.  She created a poisoned apple that will put whoever eats it into a death-like sleep. This curse could only be broken by ‘love's first kiss,’ yet the Queen was certain Snow White would be buried alive before this could occur.

Using her magic to disguise herself as an old hag, the Queen traveled to the cottage while the dwarfs were away. The animals of the forest saw through the disguise, but were unable to warn Snow White; instead these animals rushed off to alert the dwarves.  The Queen fooled Snow White into biting the apple, and she fell into a death-like slumber.

The dwarfs returned with the animals as the Queen was leaving the cottage.  They gave chase and the Queen became trapped upon a cliff.  She tried to roll a boulder to crush the dwarves but just then she was struck by lightning and fell from the cliff to her death.

Unwilling to bury her in the ground, the dwarves placed Snow White within a glass coffin and kept vigil over her along with the animals of the woods.  Some time later, a handsome Prince discovered Snow White's fate and he visited her coffin. Saddened by her apparent death, he kissed her, which had the effect of breaking the spell and awakened her. The dwarves and animals all rejoiced as the prince took Snow White to his castle where together they ushered in a new era of peace and happiness.

Actress Lucille La Verne provided the voice for The Evil Queen, with the villainess first appearing in the 1937 Disney feature, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.
