4E 201 in skyrim is like…did you hear that the high king is dead. did you hear that the harbinger of the companions is dead. did you hear that the thieves’ guildmaster is dead. did you hear that the archmage of winterhold is dead. did you hear that the headmaster of the bards’ college is hosting burning man weekly

The fact that everyone knows that Aventus Aretino is doing black magic, even as far as Winterhold, implies a one of a few things:

1. Someone walked in on him doing the Black Sacrament, then just walked out and decided it wasn’t their business.

2. He was doing the Black Sacrament so loud that it could be heard from outside, and everyone just decided it was a non-issue.

3. He moved back in from Riften and everyone just decided “well that child is probably evil.”

Headcanon about Dwemer women. My take: Young women preferred to wear light clothes and didn't get a lot of piercings. The older ones wore more clothes, more status jewelry, and grew beards. The length of the beard determined the social status of a woman and her position in society. Braids were woven from beards and decorated. It was also a sign of maturity and wisdom.
