Awww, I love how Yuya’s just like “It’s no big deal, I can get him back easily enough!” He doesn’t want Gongenzaka to blame himself for any of this either.

I love this because it’s also a huge sign of how much Yuya has grown! In his first duel with Sora, he lost Odd-Eyes to an attack and it almost broke him. Odd-Eyes was so important to him, and his own mental state was so easily shaken by things not going to plan back then, that losing Odd-Eyes in a battle made him totally freak out. But now, he loses Odd-Eyes, and not only does he know that he can bring Odd-Eyes back easily, he’s grown a lot and learned to take mistakes and things he didn’t plan for in stride, as part of the duel and the show. He’s grown up and learned how to handle the unexpected, and it’s so good to see ;w;

Oh yes, it really is such an enormous difference from what happened the first time. I’ll never forget the way he screamed when Sora destroyed Odd-Eyes that first time and then reacted like this:

I really love how much we can see that he’s grown too and how he has so much more confidence in himself and his dueling than he did back then. I remember there were times in season 1 when he tried to force himself to follow his dad’s advice even when he wasn’t feeling it, but I think he understands Yushou’s philosophy so much better now.

My baby boy is so grown up now, I love him so much. T_____________T
