This is a complete misunderstanding of what "uniquely evil" means when people talk about the Holocaust. It is not a quantitative statement about death toll or individual suffering. It is about ideology and the execution of that genocide. Nazi Germany wanted to extermined every single Jewish person on earth and used extensive industrial means to do this. Unlike colonialism where genocide and slavery was a means to an end to gain resources, the Germans even diverted essential war infrastructure in favor of commiting the genocide. It was a killing for the sake of killing. This is unprecedented and unique in all of history. And just pointing out this qualitative difference does not at all negate the atrocities suffered by POC at the hands of colonial empires.
