enchanting things

- the reflection of sunlight on the ocean - feeling like you’re in a movie when you’re happy and having adventures - seeing a beautiful stranger - looking into someone’s eyes - stargazing and talking about life - the color palette of the early evening - feeling like you’re in a dream with someone and everything feels perfect

stop believing that you ran out of time to shape yourself into who you want to be! stop believing that its ruined! stop believing you don’t have potential! you are not a fixed being! you have endless opportunities to grow.

this body was passed down to me through so many generations of women, it is the body of my mother, my grandmother, and her mother. We have the same hips and the same hands and the same strong legs, this is my only home, I wish I could love it more than I do

I find it nauseatingly hypocritical when women and girls say “don’t hate girls!!! Women are magical creatures!!! You’re being misogynist if you say you’re not like other girls” and then turn around and trash other women for:

-Not being good at contouring or *gasp* not doing it at all -Not having perfectly makeup enhanced eye brows -Not being good at makeup in general -Dressing nerdy, goth, or masculine -Not finding high heels particularly comfortable or empowering -Not having a booty -Not being good at house work or cooking

Like this is feminism! It’s okay if you wanna be feminine but if you’re ONLY there to support people that perfectly perform female gender roles then why are you even here? Fight for the tomboys! Fight for the nerds! Fight for the goths and the butches! You must fight for the girls that feel alienated and disempowered by our pink plastic world as much as you do girls who revel in femininity!

Misogyny is institutional. A 14 year old on the internet saying shes not like the other girls in her school who, for all you know, is bullied and called dyke and other slurs by the popular kids is NOT the prime target here. The MEN and capitalists who have the institutional power and have taught her hating her sex is the answer are to blame! Don’t maker her “cringe” viral and mock her till she’s suicidal, welcome her to the table instead.
