when i was post op after top surgery i had a good friend there with me to help recover. but the nurse didnt get the memo and when i woke up she was like “ok i’m gonna go get your girlfriend and bring her in to see you!” and i remember being so zonked on anesthesia and so disoriented i just laid there thinking wow…… all that an they’re bringing me a girlfriend too this place is amazing

I watched Across The Spiderverse three times in the cinemas and Gwen's opening scene, especially the train scene, was always painful for me since she mentioned that she always ends up alone in her line of work as Spider-woman. It hit me that I just had to draw the three dorks with her on the train just to give her that sense of belonging.
If you have been through trauma, know this: You do not have to forgive them to heal. You do not have to forgive them to move on. You do not have to forgive them to be a good person. Insisting on the opposite is toxic positivity at best

Okay, it was brief but the amount of plus-size/fat spider people I saw made my heart EXPLODE. I was SO happy to see them, even just for a few moments. And not just fat spider-people!!! There was a WHOLE moment and a joke from a disabled spider-person!!!! The effort they put into the diversity of all of them, not just in physical appearance but the art styles?????? UGH I'm in love with this movie
