I never realized how genius the way the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days manga gave Roxas his keyblades. Roxas gets the Oathkeeper keyblade after yelling out his promise about going to the beach with his friends when he’s fighting Saix.
Then, after Xion’s heartwrenching death…
…Roxas takes Xion’s keyblade and it becomes the Oblivion keyblade.
Given the meaning behind the names of these two keyblades and the events that occurred, it’s no wonder why Nomura chose these two keyblades for Roxas.
I’ve had Thoughts about a Kingdom Hearts + My Hero Academia crossover for a while, but the Sora Zine Discord chat is what finally gave me the inspiration to doodle it hahaha
