My Thoughts....

We need never to be hopeless because we can never be irreparably broken

“Ephesians 2:10 says we are God’s workmanship. The greek word Paul uses is ‘poiéma’ which is where we get the word ‘poem.’ You are the poem God is writing- unique and beautiful.”

“Even if it means going against the opinions of others, Even if it means receiving disapproval, Even if it means going against the crowd, You must do what feels right to you. If it makes you smile, feel more comfortable, or beam with rays of genuine happiness; Then you must do it, regardless of anyone else.”

“You could have one, ten, or a thousand people on your side; but if you don’t believe in yourself, then it doesn’t matter how many are present. You, of all people, must be the first and most strongest supporter.”

I got my heart broken and I survived, I failed 3 courses in university and graduated, I got rejected in the very first job I applied for and got promoted yesterday, I went through hard times with my family but then two years later, we laughed our hearts out over lunch, The closest friends disappointed me several times but I made new friends and loved them with all my heart. I did it once, I can do it again.

I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY

This. This everyday. I need this everyday.

“You will always be your own worst critic. Always. Sometimes you may begin to believe things about yourself by listening to this inner critic, however you must remember that these things it speaks are not true. You are beautiful. Absolutely amazing. Completely phenomenal, regardless of what your inner critic may say. Please, learn to silence this doubt.”

“Take the time to settle the storm that may exist within you. Nurture the clouds until they may pass. Yes, the world is a fast moving place, but there is nothing more important than your own health and wellbeing.”

“Has anyone ever noticed how people only love the ocean when the sun is out? Once darkness settles, breeze kicks in, and sharks come out to play - no one wants to swim among it’s waves. And I hope I have never made someone feel like that… As if they’re only admirable in light. As if their darkness wasn’t worth exploring. Because it’s when the sun sets that I sit on the shore, and stare at the ocean in awe.”

“i will tell you, my daughter of your worth not your beauty every day. (your beauty is a given. every being is born beautiful). knowing your worth can save your life. raising you on beauty alone you will be starved. you will be raw. you will be weak. an easy stomach. always in need of someone telling you how beautiful you are.”

Take a moment. Really. Are you being too harsh on yourself? Remember that you must give yourself enough time to grow. You must show yourself patience. Unconditional love. Acceptance. Showing hostility towards yourself will not speed up your growth, but only dampen it. So remember, handle yourself delicately, and give yourself some more credit.

The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman, and the only time a Muslim really gets real violent is when someone goes to molest his woman. We will kill you for our woman. I’m making it plain. Yes, we will kill you for our woman. We believe that if the white man will do whatever is necessary to see that his woman gets respect and protection then you and I will never be recognized as men until we stand up like men and place the same penalty over the head of anyone who puts his filthy hands out in the direction of our women.

One cannot reach the stars by simply looking at them. You must take action. You must do what is necessary to get to them. So set up, prepare, and take it one step at a time.

Some people survive and talk about it. Some people survive and go silent. Some people survive and create. Everyone deals with unimaginable pain in their own way, and everyone is entitled to that, without judgement. So the next time you look at someone’s life covetously, remember…you may not want to endure what they are enduring right now, at this moment, whilst they sit so quietly before you, looking like a calm ocean on a sunny day. Remember how vast the ocean’s boundaries are. Whilst somewhere the water is calm, in another place in the very same ocean, there is a colossal storm.
