You know what’s utterly so peeving to see? People denying the fact Sasuke has romantic feelings for Sakura and try sustain that he ALSO doesn’t give two shits about Sarada and Sakura despite the fact it shows the audience he loves and cares for Sakura and Sarada. 

“As long as we love each other and our feelings are connected” ya’ll see that? What’s even funnier, antis try twist Sasuke’s words and yet again sustain that Sasuke doesn’t love his family, please tell me why ChoCho would find it so lucky that Sarada is the one who keeps Sasuke and Sakura together but it’s apparently “one sided”, please tell me why Sarada is crying if happiness because her parents are only together because of her, please tell me why Naruto is grinning because because Sasuke’s and Sakura’s love is “one sided”. See? it makes zero sense. And boi, don’t get me started on “kArIn iS SaRaDa’S mOmMy!!!” 

 And get this!! Kishimoto even tells us that their feelings are connecting (again) and tells us to read the spin offs in order to understand the relationship between Sasuke and Sakura.

“What reflected there was the real deal- love.” what else does that tells us about Sasuke’s feelings towards his family? hmmm?

Kakashi, Karin and even Sakura herself mentions how Sasuke was sunken deep into alot of darkness. Plus Sasuke vowed to kill Naruto too, and was itching to kill Kakashi his own sensei. Also this happens when Sasuke found the truth about Itachi and why he killed the whole Uchiha clan; Remember what Tobirama said?

 So just imagine how hurt and broken Sasuke could’ve been when he lost his own brother he whom cherished. Of course, he thinks it’s the Leaf’s fault and vows to murder the whole village, (bear in mind he still knows Sakura is a hidden leaf shinobi) obviously he is not gonna trust her once she tried to attempted to murder him. It’s Naruto, it’s not real life. Stop comparing real life situations people are actually suffering from with a fictional ship that’s got to do with ninja’s and clans it’s disgusting. Also did he not apologised to her? from the bottom of his heart?

You don’t have to show you love someone by kissing them, Japanese people take romance as a private matter. He gave her a poke on the forehead also known as the Ultimate expression of love (daganronpa lol) , Sakura even tells Sakura that the forehead poke is better than a kiss;

I seriously do not get what’s so hard to comprehend between Sasuke’s and Sakura’s relationship. Naruto isn’t slice of life or Shoujo. It’s Shonen it’s strictly tailored for young male readers, so of course their love isn’t going to take over the whole plot of Naruto/Boruto because it’s Shonen. Their love isn’t complicated, it’s simple. Sasuke loves Sakura and Sakura loves Sasuke. It’s been 6-7 years please get over it, alright I get it you hate the ship, that doesn’t mean you deny the fact Sasuke loves Sakura and Sarada.

I’ve written, rewritten, and then deleted posts since the protests started. I kept feeling like I couldn’t ever find enough of the right words.

Black Lives Matter.

We need to change the systemic problems in our country that contribute to those lives not mattering.

We have to be better. For ourselves, for our neighbors, and for future generations.

It is our privilege to ignore problems. We must stop hiding behind that privilege. We must stop looking away. We must do the hard thing. We must speak up when we see injustice. And more importantly we must Listen to the voices that have not been heard.

We must vote. We must make the change we want to see happen because

Black Lives Matter.

I can’t physically participate in any of the protests due to other factors. But I have contributed funds and I will keep contributing funds until we see more change for the better.

We’re taking the first steps, but the road is going to be long and we will have to have those uncomfortable and difficult conversations to get moving down it.

This election is even more important than any other, get out and vote. Vote for your city representation, your county representation, your state representation, and then finally for the president.

To those of you out there protesting, keep up the fight. To those of you who are or have suffered in the past, keep up the fight.

I don’t know what else I can say, my motto has always been Be Kind. So I leave you with that reminder out there that even when you are having these hard conversations, you can still be kind.

listen. l i s t e n. listen. kudos does not equal quality. popularity does not equal quality. i have read some “fandom classics” that i could barely fathom how boring or terrible i - personally - found them, and i have stumbled across some absolute gems that didn’t even break 100 kudos. 

what is good doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves. it’s sad, but true. just because you haven’t - or possibly never take - off in fandom doesn’t mean your work isn’t astounding and beautiful, it doesn’t mean you should stop writing; it just means that a very select corner of the internet missed the diamond in the rough. 

fanfiction is flooded with content, there are so many of us out there producing it these days, and having a fic that takes off is almost as much about luck as it is about talent. never let a few artificial numbers on the internet dictate to you what is and isn’t worthy writing. 

additionally, you don’t have to read or enjoy fics just bcs they’re big. i cannot count the amount of times i’ve read the first paragraph of something fandom adores and immediatly exited out of it.

just… do what makes you happy. write what you wanna write, read what you wanna read. understand that while we all want recognition - and some deserve it more than others - we did not get into fanfiction for that recognition.

recognition is good, but sometimes we get all tangled up chasing it and stop enjoying writing and reading and fandom as a whole along the way. be careful of that, please, or you’ll burn yourself out.

Twenty-five years in fandom and it doesn’t get truer than this. You absolutely CANNOT predict what will be popular and what won’t. It’s due to coincidence and timing and who happens to hit reblog and yanno…it’s a mystery. Write for yourself, read for yourself, this isn’t a job.
