Relationship headcanons + his friend's reactions

• Fell in love with you unexpectedly, whenever you’d join team 7 on missions and he’d be rambling about his books you’d end up listening and asking for him to continue making him fall for you.
• At the beginning of the relationship, he may be a little distant, but that’s because he’s insecure and hesitant.
• He needs constant reassurance that you won’t leave like everyone else did, that’s why he may come off as distant at first.
• Touch starved. He didn’t know he was touch starved until you hugged him and were in his arms. Whenever he wants a hug he won’t ask or tell you, he’d instead give subtle hints like tugging on your shirt before you or he leaves on a mission.
• Deep conversations late at night, whenever you’d tell him about your troubles he’d give you advice and help you figure it out.
• He’s also often up late reading. Whether that be him wanting to finish ‘just one more chapter’ or him having a lot on his mind from recalling his past. Whenever you’d wake up and see him up, you’d hug him instead of saying anything.
• When cuddling he likes being the big spoon, he likes knowing that you are in his arms. When he wakes up and you’re not in his arms it kind of makes him panic. Did you leave him too?
• Can't sleep well unless you’re there with him, he gets uneasy when you’re not with him.
• Will always peel oranges for you, gets all serious about it too. He’d make sure there’s little to no pith left on the orange for you.
• Cooks for you, but will be shy about it at first.
• Loves hearing you talk about your day and what you did while he was out on a mission or training team 7, he loves hearing your voice it soothes him.
• When he’s out on missions, he’ll buy little gifts that remind him of you. He would give most of them to you, but keep some as well in memory of you when he’s not with you.
• If you guys live together, he definitely has an office that has many bookshelves filled with all of his favorite books. He’d even read them to you if you asked, although he gets a little shy while doing so. (Unless it’s Icha Icha then he’ll refuse to read it out loud to you unless you wanna get kinky.)
• Won’t take off his mask until later on in the relationship when he’s a bit more comfortable around you, then it’ll occasionally come off.
• He also gets all flustered when someone brings you up in a conversation, especially team 7 since they won’t leave him alone about you.
• Won't properly introduce you to his friends until he is sure that you’re not leaving.

• He’d be super supportive!! That’s his eternal rival right there! Although he’d be shocked that you and Kakashi were dating for such a long period of time without him knowing.
• Speaking of eternal rival... he himself would also try and get a girlfriend just so he could one up Kakashi.
• He often third wheels when he sees you and Kakashi out in public, he’d just invite himself. (Although it seems like you’re the third wheel most of the time.)
• Whenever you and Kakashi would fight, he’d be the one cheering up not only Kakashi, but you as well. He would be helping you both make up after a fight.
• Best wing man? I think so.

• He’d be surprised at first, he didn’t expect Kakashi to be in a relationship. But he’d end up admiring you as you are his dearest senpai’s lover after all.
• He sees you as his sister, so he’d treat you with kindness and respect as he couldn’t for his own sister.
• You’d often go to him or Kurenai when you and Kakashi fight, although Yamato wasn’t good at comforting you he was good at listening.

• He’d be so surprised at the words coming out of Kakashi’s mouth that he’d end up thinking it’s a joke and laughs it off until he meets you, he honestly didn’t ever think that Kakashi out of all people would be in a relationship.
• You both would often tease each other about the other’s relationship.
• He’d give advice to both you and Kakashi when you guys would fight, mainly Kakashi since you’d turn to Kurenai instead of him.

• She’d also be quite shocked at the news, she’d never think that Kakashi would be in a relationship.
• Nonetheless, she is very supportive and even befriends you! Kurenai adores you, and you both often spend time together whether that be shopping or gossiping about your guys’ boyfriends.
• You often go to her for advice and comfort when you and Kakashi fight, she’d let you inside her house and make you a cup of tea while listening to you.
• She’d probably be the problem solver for you and Kakashi, after talking to you she’d go talk to Kakashi as well and try to help you guys make up.

• Jiraiya's not shy by any means so he'd be flirting up a storm with you as soon as he sees you
• and this literally never stops!! it’ll be years down the line and he’ll still be dropping lame pick up lines to make you smile like he did the first time he saw you
• like you walk in the door of your shared home and he's like, "well hello there, sexy, you come here often?"
• he's just the best hypeman anyone could ask for really, showering you in compliments everyday because he can't get enough of how good you look
• and though he never really drops his cheeky ways — it's part of what makes him, him, right? he does make an effort to tone it down with other woman, he's all yours and he'll make sure you know it
• on the flip side, he won’t be jealous or possessive at all. he actually gets a kick out of other people hitting on you because it just makes it all the more satisfying when they watch you come home with him
• time spent with him is always entertaining because he has so many great stories from his travels and he never gets tired of sharing them with you, he loves the way you focus on him while he tells them and make him feel like the only man in the world

• onsen dates where you two can unwind together and he gets a view?? those are a frequent occurrence. but he also knows how to be romantic when the time calls for it and would reserve a whole restaurant for a private night out if that's what you wanted
• you just know this man's love language is physical touch, he loves it when you rest a hand on his chest or thigh when you're sitting next to each other because he just needs to be in contact with you at all times, it just puts him at ease

• speaking of royalty he treats you like it too, Jiraiya would definitely spoil his s/o rotten. anything your heart desires, it’s yours. but expect lots of flowers cause he’s kinda an old-fashioned guy that way
