Does tumblr have a fanbase for the Star Trek novelverse that went on for years and concluded last year or so with Coda?
I used this flow chart to read the whole story. I was consumed by it from 2019 until I got to the end. It started when I read the DS9 relaunch, starting with A Stitch in Time which Andrew Robinson wrote in character as Garak.
This one book led me to the Deep Space Nine storyline, then I started hitting the crossovers and realizing I needed way more context and went on to follow all of the series of the main novel timeline. Titan, TNG, Section 31, and so on. I like that they wrapped up the central story timeline so further books will match with current canon. I particularly loved Second Self, and since it’s written by Una McCormack of course there’s an intense Cardassian influence and it doesn’t match the cover at all.

star trek is great bc sometimes it’s like “this alien culture is a transparent but hopeful allegory for race relations in the united states” and sometimes it’s like “wouldn’t it be fucked up if an alien sucked all the salt out of you“ and sometimes it’s like “this story is a nuanced examination of traditional gender roles through the lens of a far flung future society” and sometimes it’s like “these aliens based their entire social structure on an old book about 1930s mobsters”
