apparently nasa confirmed there’s an ocean on one of Jupiter’s moons say it with me kids: space mermaids

Okay, this brought out my inner astronomy nerd, hold onto your hats, folks.

The moon is called Europa, and it doesn’t have just an ocean. It is completely covered in water with a mile-thick sheet of ice over the top.

Now we know that the ice has water under it because once in a while, massive fucking geysers shoot water up into space.

Now this brings up an interesting question about Europa: How in the fuck can the water stay warm enough to be liquid if there’s a mile-thick sheet of ice on top of it? 

And the theorized answer is: Europa has a core that is warm like our own. And it has undersea hydrothermal vents that are causing the geysers.

Now this would keep the water at above-freezing temperatures, and if the hydrothermal vents on Europa act anything like the ones on Earth, we have the potential of them spitting up organic matter from Europa’s core into the oceans.

And guess what that soup of organic matter means? The potential for life.

So yeah. Space mermaids. And a whole lot more.

Can some astronauts PLEASE go there and drill under the sheet or to be less destructive, go into one of the geyser holes????????????? I’m so curious!!!!!

So Jewish girls, Islamic girls and hispanic girls get made fun of for having thick eyebrows their entire life, but when a white girl draws on eyebrows to look thicker it’s, “#eyebrows on fleek!”? So black and Latina girls get made fun of for having big lips their entire life, but when a white girl draws on to look really big it’s, “gorgeouss and inspiring”? So black girls get made fun of for having braids or dreadlocks their entire life, but when a white girl does it’s, “just a style and they can do what they want with their hair”? So Islamic girls get made fun of for wearing bindis/henna/hijabs, but when a white girl does it’s, “totes coachella”? So Native American people get mocked for their ancestors wearing headdresses or feathers, but when a white girl does it’s, “artsy and cute”? Does anybody else notice a pattern??

Excuse me, but this is the most ignorant post for a good cause i have EVER seen. There are many flaws which show the OP has literally no clue what they are talking about. They say ‘Jewish’ girls and ‘Islamic’ girls have thick eyebrows and white girls appropriate this - Jewish and Islamic are RELIGIONS not RACES. Anyone of any race can be jewish or islamic, whether black, white, or anywhere inbetween. Also, Islamic girls do not wear bindis??? If an islamic girl were to wear a bindi, that would be cultural appropriation as bindis are a feature of Hinduism, not Islam. That is just ignorant for you to group all these things together, showing you have no idea about different religions and cannot differentiate between islam and hinduism. Lastly, you use the terms ‘latina’ and ‘hispanic’ interchangeably. They are not the same thing!!! Hispanic is a race, while Latina means a woman who is from anywhere in Latin america, ie. Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, etc. Anyone of any race can be latina, as long as they are from latin america. White women can be latina too, so can asian women, black women, and of course, hispanic women. Please, before you spread false info, make sure you know what you are talking about:) you are spreading ignorance otherwise, and that is the last thing our planet needs.
