While I have never met the woman I would please ask her to stop taking the great British for fools. In my youth, while in the British Army, I found the general news on the BBC to be good, never went to bed before the late night news. Under the last Labour Government (while the government condemned the BBC) the license fee , I believe doubled and the news content was actually reduced so I turned to the BBC World Service (this was changed when the present government decided they no longer wanted to be held accountable for what was reported).
Let us not forget that it was under the Labour administration that, because of their corporation tax fiddles that the BBC paid their top people (not available to the plebs) in off shore accounts. I think the above article to be yet another electioneering half truth. Please tell the truth, especially if you want my vote!
