The problem with being chronically ill is that when you become more sick, with more symptoms, people do not understand why its so upsetting.

"But weren't you in pain before?". Yes but this is a new pain that I haven't dealt with before.

"I thought you already had stomach problems?". Yes but this is a new symptom of it that scares me.

"Arent you used to this by now?". No, and I never will be.

Symptoms that have been had for months or years are hard enough to manage in the first place. Developing a new one is scary, and trying to find ways to cope while still juggling everything else is even more so. We are allowed to be upset at our symptoms progressing. It doesn't mean it wasn't bad before. It just means now its bad in another way we arent familiar with. And that sucks.

We have six openly corrupt zealots effectively running our government now.

This can't be fixed simply by voting when the zealots are lifetime appointments.

Our elected leaders need to present a clear plan for us, not fundraising emails and sternly written letters.

I will never get over how weird it feels to have tragic and emotional chapters of your life where you just also still go to work, and the grocery store, and see funny videos online all while feeling such paralyzing fear and heartache

life just goes on no matter what

The fact that we only get 24 hours in a day is bullshit. And I gotta spend 8 of those sleeping otherwise I collapse??? And I gotta spend another 9 of those doing a Job or else I become homeless???? And then for the remaining 7, I have to spend a hefty chunk of that mentally recovering from the 10 hour job? And also taking care of myself and my place of living? This is bullshit. Days should be longer.

Everyone responding to this with “what if we just go to work for less hours” you are so objectively correct lets kill capitalism together <3

I truly encourage you to add things that simply bring you joy to your list of things to do that day.

it doesn't have to be big, it can be as simple as making your favourite drink or food for lunch or spending some time on a hobby or watching a show you enjoy.

adding things to look forward to and giving yourself time to experience those things is just as important as doing every other thing on that list.

you're allowed to plan to do things for no other reason than it makes you happy.
