Too much -_-
1 month after ➡ 1 year after There was two teenage girls in front of us at the concert who spent the entire time on their feet dancing even though we were in the seating section. I spent half of the show feeling annoyed at them for blocking Shera’s view and the other half feeling so happy that they were enjoying themselves so much. They left as soon as the concert ended. For a couple of months after the attack I use to think about them pretty much every day. I didn’t know their names, couldn’t pick them out in a crowd but every other day for those few months I would think “I hope they are okay. I hope they still dance. I hope they still listen to Ariana.” It’s weird what the traumatised mind latches on. But then again this last year has been the epitome of weird. Anyway here’s to the two teenage girls, to the 20,000 and to the 22. Please can we stop singing that awful oasis song now and start singing “No tears left to cry” or any other Ariana song, since you know, it’s actually relevant.
I love you so much.
i just think the world would be a better place if we would all take a bit of time to examine how we personally interact with stories
I, for one, am a complex network of interconnected stories stored on a meat based drive.
that is quite possibly the most terrifying way of describing a human but honestly same
That’s not scary. What’s scary is that you’re a ghost and a skeleton working together to Pilot fleshy power armor made by your mother
You know, I expected to regret making this post for entirely different reasons than I actually regret making this post.
Gays can’t drive but bisexuals are speed demons I’ll run ur ass off the road honey I️ got places to be
@justeunenuitavecmoi you when we got chased by the bus
Lmfao that’s only cos you won’t press the right buttons !!!!
straight people stop trying to profit off of gay audiences while doing absolutely nothing to actually help us challenge
btw this is about the new rita ora song called “girls” which features the chorus “sometimes, i just wanna kiss girls, girls, girls / red wine, i just wanna kiss girls, girls, girls.”
except literally all of the four singers are straight. and the song was written by five men and cardi b.
about the song, rita said “at first listen, you’ll be like ‘oh wow. she’s definitely letting us know that she likes girls.’ but it’s not that…the song is basically about females complimenting other females and supporting each other”.
so like. she’s singing this song (written by almost all men) about girls wanting to kiss girls, and then frantically pulling a no-homo and saying that the song is about feminism somehow. not girls loving girls. which completely invalidates the love of women that wlw like myself actually have.
and her trying to immediately advertise and sell the song as a “bisexual anthem” when it features no actual bisexual artists. the lgbtq community is not a marketing campaign.
and there’s this:
because, oh, of course. women wanting to kiss women is “twisted.” thanks rita.
(also the song’s inspiration is apparently katy perry’s “i kissed a girl” so no wonder it’s a mess tbh)
tl;dr: rita ora, charli xcx, bebe rexha, and cardi b released a song trying to profit off of the lgbtq community and wlw specifically while doing literally nothing to actually help our community and marginalizing the voices of actual lgbtq artists.
the song’s just trying to take our money, treat us like nothing more than a trend, and exploit our love. please, instead of listening to this garbage song, support actual lgbtq artists.
as always, hayley kiyoko has given a perfect response. exactly what i was trying to say <3
