Ok another self-indulgent thing that I know you're going to think I'm crazy for suggesting but at least one person here is going to love it. ~~Emmett~~

Pirate!Mof and prisoner of war s/o with Enemies/Friends/Lovers dynamic. At first he only saw them as another bargaining chip to get what he wants while the reader would literally rather cut a limb off than be in the same room as Jon and his crew. They later find they've formed a begrudging sense of respect for the other. Jon comes to like his prisoner for their resilience, rebellion, and quick wit. It excites him in a way he hasn't felt since he first started sailing with his crew, a feeling which has long since dulled over the years. For the reader it's more of an "everyone on this ship is an asshole" but Jon gets a pass because he makes sure that nobody tries to hurt or otherwise defile them while they're in a state of vulnerability and he makes intelligent conversation on an otherwise dull trip in the ships brig and it's just so much fun to tease him because for a pirate he's quite the prude. I could literally go on and on but I think this is long enough, dm me if you want to hear more tho!!
