interesting how all of miguel's "canon events" that ensure spider man exists and also that the universe doesn't fall apart are all tragedies and deaths and negative experiences. Most people when they have a family death don't become a vigilante superhero, but being like a techy genius nerd with costume making skills who happened to have the coolest reaction to a spiderbite anyone's ever had on top of that seems to be the winning combo. But apparently nobody's checking that every spiderperson has a fun "learning how to webswing" montage or a "hanging upside down kiss with my crush" event to ensure the safety of the universe

actually i think the upside down kiss is a canon event, you can see it here! (at least i think thats what it was my vision is bad lol)

the negative ones just get more traction i guess because nobody wants them to happen? no ones gonna stop a web slinging montage but you have to convince people that their family deaths are necessary or they’ll try to save the people they love

I have such love for people who do karaoke in groups because theyre always just there to have fun and theyre always so happy and they drag the crowd into their energy and usually theyre hyping up a shy member of a group i just think its so good and pure

ive just realized that i can post whatever i want, so heres some random oc facts that are not at all important:

Azure is ridiculously bad at video games, but shes surprisingly good at rhythm games. One time they took her to an arcade and she spent an hour playing dance dance revolution

Virgil is incredibly particular about his hair and spends a ton of time keeping it clean.

Pallas is mildly allergic to peanuts, but eats them anyway.

Octavian speaks Japanese and is too embarrassed to admit he started learning because of anime.

Felix knows how to pick locks because he thought it would impress girls.

Lyrian had a Homestuck phase that she pretends didn’t happen.

Sanyi is colorblind, but didn’t realize he was colorblind for about fifty years.

Pallas gently put her hand on the side of the box. It was warm, and it seemed to pulse under the slight pressure of her touch, but the feeling was… irregular, and soon she realized it wasn’t quite a pulse. It was small, almost imperceptible, but something was moving.

So that left Virgil walking alone through the town’s streets, staying in the shadows and out of the public eye, trying to find her again. One of the buildings caught his eye - Virgil couldn’t read the large sign over the door, but the shaded windows and cold black walls stood out among the old brick buildings in the small old town.

Every time a Republican smiles into the camera and pleasantly suggests a truly heinous policy that will kill poor people, and then some media pundit calls them a “moderate” politician, I want to throw my television directly into the sun

Please pay attention to who the media calls “moderate” and who they label “extreme”

The framing matters. Words matter. Words mean things. Our media has been dutifully shifting the meaning of the word “moderate” further and further to the right, providing cover for obvious political extremists. It’s not by mistake
