It wrinkles my brain that Jupiter’s moon Europa has oceans that are sixty miles deep, while Earth’s oceans only reach seven miles deep at most. I’m willing to bet good money that there’s life in Europa’s oceans. Like five bucks. You hear me, NASA? I bet you five bucks that there’s life on Europa… Now that there’s money and reputation on the line, I bet they send a mission there real quick.

I have no idea when this was originally posted, but NASA is working on their Europa mission RIGHT NOW to look for alien life! But get this, they theorize that because of the depth, gravity, and composition of the oceans, any organisms that lived there would be waaay bigger than aquatic life on Earth. So far everything’s going well with regards to their Europa mission so they should have a spacecraft on its way to look for giant sea monsters in space in only a few years. (The planned date is in the early 2020s.)

Looks like my negotiations worked. You’re welcome, humanity.

I’ve never been gripped with such cold terror and pure delight in my LIFE

explaining to an 18th century sailor that we’re looking for sea monsters in space.

If it works out, we are going to have the COOLEST sci-fi by 2050.

I was six and counting tiny shells by the sandy shore. My family ventured into the sea amidst the waves too high for my six year old body. The sea centuries old and I barely six, how could I not fear the mighty blue waves drowning me under their great depth? I see my brother smile too bright and a couple of children playing with the tiny waves that touch my feet.

Whom do I show my broken sea shells here?

I was twelve. Counting the number of leaves on a tree that grew beside the classroom window. It's break time and I can hear some of my friends laugh over a joke. I don't understand this cold feeling over my skin that soon forms into a warm coat around me, drawing me under it. I long to feel a warm hand, a soft hug and a smile. But all I have are my thoughts that block me from everyone around.

With whom should I speak and share my lunch?

I was fourteen. Standing in the auditorium with red chairs and brown floors, I stared too long at the stage. Faces and bodies came in and went offstage with each song. I have been there a couple of times with different faces of which I have now lost count of. A child asks me how do I so easily become someone else up there when the lights fall over me? She asks me who am I and I can feel my lips quiver.

What name should I give to the one inside me?

I was sixteen. Stumbling through dreams of a lady telling me be strong, a God sleeping on a glorious bed in a starry sky sings me a lullaby, a gentle lover kisses me on my cheek and holds my hand with a smile. I venture through darkness and light, and at times when luck blesses me, I find the path of Dawn. My reflection entices me at nights when I look through my eyes too deep. The child's question rings in my ears and I see myself as a little girl on the beach.

If I turn back time a little more, where do I find myself to begin then? Do I end or I continue till eternity?

I am seventeen. In a forest, under the night sky shines the Pole star. The constellations tell me their stories, and the trees reveal their age old wisdom to me. The girl in the mirror whispers in my ears of a destiny that feels too unreal for me and the sleeping God stirs awake in my dreams. The Lover meanwhile keeps holding my hand, watching my story unfold. A thread ties us, a silvery thread doused in moonlight.

Pray tell me who you are and who am I? I am the one in old ballads and the songs. I am one of the folk tales and the age old mysteries long buried under people's lips. Who shall discover me if not I?

The Sleeping God has risen, his eyes shining like the sparkling galaxies of the universe I know of. The lady's voice has turned sweeter and bolder. She reminds me of a queen's story I told myself to sleep. The Lover writes me a song and recites it to the moon and I watch myself unfurl

*takes a deep breath* I have no idea what this actually is. This began with a freaking breakdown over NEET and then it ended like this

The original post blew up but the version w this reblog is so much funnier to me so here it is again
