See, but I hate this scene SO MUCH. Tony is not that incompetent and this is so damn insulting that it makes me sick.
What you’ve got to remember is that IM3 is told from Tony’s perspective. So it isn’t that Tony’s actually that incompetent (other scenes in the movie prove that) it’s just that, in Tony’s eyes, Rhodey is that much of a badass
it’s more than that. it’s how tony views himself, versus how he views rhodey.
if anyone would like to learn a couple tricks for carving pumpkins:
- dont cut out the top to scoop out the seeds, cut out the bottom instead. this way the pumpkin doesnt cave in on itself and lasts longer - sprinkle some cinnamon inside at the top after carving. this way when you put the candle in it smells like pumpkin pie

- rub the i sides with lemon after you’re done scooping. This will also help preserve the pumpkin

Anyways the way Tumblr treats the Perks Of Being A Wallflower like it’s cringe and bad just because of the hipster craze over it in 2012 and ignoring the fact that it’s one of the few books/movies that shows the ugly side of teen mental illness and discusses sexual trauma in young boys (something only portrayed in shows like SVU) is in fact, bullshit, and I’ll never forgive y'all for taking the line “we accept the love we think we deserve” (a reference to toxic abusive relationships) and turning it into cringe culture. This is a book about a struggling depressed kid who I saw myself in as a teen, and yeah he and his friends could be annoying and pretentious but are you going to say you weren’t as a kid?
