It's the past Rayne, just remember deep breaths, count to ten. 1...2....3....4....5..... BUZZZZZ. Rayne quickly taps her phone reveling the words she was hoping to never receive she quickly unlocks her phone and deletes the message. Keep counting Ry, it's just a memory, it's the past, it's over with, time to move on. 6....7....8....9.....10 much better.
"Ry honey. Super time! It's the last one until school hurry down!!"
Ugh don't remind me... hurrying down the steps following the strong scent of pork roast seasoned to perfection I quickly make a plate and take a seat at the table.
"So honey, how are you doing? Are you ready to go back? Have you told any of your old friends?" Mom ushers
"I'm doing fine mom." I flash the most believable smile "No I haven't told my old friends, I doubt we'd have anything in common mom, it's been 5 years. But I am also excited and scared."
We finish eating and I do the dishes for her and head back up stairs to my bathroom and look at the toilet longingly before starting the shower and stripping from my clothes and hopping into a hot shower that could possibly burn off my flesh. I quickly lather my long red hair with both shampoo and conditioner. After washing up I get out and dry off with a light blue towel and wipe off the mirror and give myself a reassuring smile before it fogs back over.
I head into my room and pick out my pj's for the night and crawling into bed passing out the moment my head touches my pillow. Four hours later I wake up sweating from a gut wrenching nightmare breathing heavily I reach for the teddybear sitting beside my bed pull him into me and fall back asleep till my alarm goes off.
Rubbing my eyes awake I think today's the day.. I roll out of bed and find the cutest floral print dress, it's short and red with white roses on it and strapless it makes my dark brown eyes pop and I walk into the bathroom to put on my make up, full face including liquid and powder foundation, black eyeliner, and a soft red eye shadow and blush to pull my dress together. I find my red flats from my shoe drawer and head downstairs with my bag and keys.
I unlock my brand new white kia soul and turn the ignition to hear All My Friends by The Summer Set blasting I quickly turn it down and restart it, and head toward school once there I park, get out and lock my car looking up and the big brick school with a brand new forest green trim, home of the Gargoyles. I take a deep sigh and walk in.
