Just Me

@juliet305

I am that person that is always there for you no matter what
May you have auspiciousness and causes of success May you have the confidence to always do your best May you take no effort in your being generous Sharing what you can, nothing more nothing less May you know the meaning of the word happiness May you always lead from the beating in your chest May you be treated like an esteemed guest May you get to rest, may you catch your breath
And may the best of your todays be the worst of your tomorrows And may the road less paved be the road that you follow

Yellow roses for friendship.

this really stuck out me, especially the order of the paladins yelling out to lance.

1. allura. 2. pidge. 3. hunk. 4. keith.

the most important word is saved for last.

allura is first, keith is last. lance will end up opposite from where he started regarding romance.

keith yells lance’s name twice, unlike the other team members who yell it once, followed by questions. he tells lance to “come in,” after pausing from saying his name once. he doesn’t ask for anything specific, he was that frantic that he just wanted lance to let him know he was alive.

the pause is really key, here, too. his line takes longer than everyone else, and it’s also the one lance really hears as he wakes up. and you need to listen to it for yourselves, but the panic in keith’s voice is evident.

romantic tropes like this, although subtle, revolve around moments like these. you could say, it’s a build up. it shows us that keith was really concerned, frantic, even. it’s always the last line that matters most, since it makes the biggest impact - it’s noticeable, it’s key to understanding who stands out amongst the team.

and as in the game show, who did keith pick first? lance. who did keith first yell out to when they got trapped on sendak’s ship? lance. who did he ask to lead them after he went to save acxa? lance.

it’s a small moment, but it says a lot about our characters and their relationships.

Reaction to Voltron Season 7 Episode 13 aka Season 7 Finale: Lion’s Pride Part 2

WHAT THE QUIZNAK IS LOTOR BACK

BAYARD VOLTRON WEAPONS FOR PLANCE

ATLAS IS ANOTHER VOLTRON?! AND IT’S PILOTED BY SHIRO

OH MY GOD I KNOW THEY GONNA DIE BUT STILL THEY LOOK LIKE THEY WERE ABOUT TO DIE

Shiro’s speech and the little reunions in the hospital! Hunk got too see Shay again (Hunay forever), Matt is back and grizzled, McClain Family is adorable, Allura with the Alteans, Keith seeing Krolia and Kolivan. Then aliens and humans living in harmony!

Acxa watching Keith and Krolia from the distant (crush or something else?). Please be something else because no offense to anyone but I don’t ship Acxa and Keith because they hardly get actual speaking lines to each other. But that look…..

WHAT THE QUIZNAK IT WAS ALTEAN

Thinking about that one plance scene from ep 3 (S7) and it just hit me that Lance seriously called Pidge a “her.”

And you might be thinking, oh, well, what else would he call her?

But listen: Lance initially thought Pidge was a boy, but now he calls her a “her.”

As far as we also know, Lance is attracted to girls and now that he’s made that connection with Pidge as a girl, I think it puts a lot more emphasis on the fact that Plance could happen.

Also, a thank you to the writers for that scene. It could have been Hunk that said that, or Keith, or Shiro, quiznack, even Krolia. But t was Lance, and he said, “DONT YOU TOUCH HER!!” Not, “LEAVE HER ALONE!” Or, “DONT TOUCH PIDGE!!” It could have been anything, but they chose those words.

I really appreciate what you did with that scene, Voltron. I really do.

the way the relationship between Shiro and Adam is portrayed represents that in this future LGBT relationships are normal and no longer faced with stigma or discrimination, they’re treated as any other relationship.

it’s never mentioned that Shiro and Adam are dating because this takes place in the future which means they don’t have to

the simple dialogs “how import am i to you?” , “don’t expect me to be here when you get back” and “the garrison doesn’t want me up there, neither does Adam” show quite a bit,

if these interactions happened between a male and a female today, everyone would assume the two were dating. but we’re watching this unfold as if we are a third party observing the world. this means in the future m|m and w|w relationships are as normal as w|m relationships are today

Adam’s death was meant to symbolize how much Shiro’s life has changed since the Keberos mission and how even the greatest of leaders don’t always get a second chance.

Shiro loved Adam and his death means that Shiro has to move on from his old life. nothing will ever be the same for him again. new arm, new garrison, new scar, new hair, new love interest?

Adams death represents Shiro letting go of his past so he can move on

i understand why people are upset by it not being the rep we wanted but Adam died a hero’s death. he was honored and died fighting for what he believed in.

Hey klancers another reach for you: any of y’all think it was really weird how Red didn’t respond to Lance after his scene with Allura???

Allura really could’ve gone up to Lance and said this at any point after their arrival to Earth; they could’ve put this scene pretty much ANYWHERE and it wouldn’t have diminished it. But they didn’t. They put it right before the scene where all the paladins call out to their lions

No one else had trouble calling their lions. Every other lion answered immediately to their paladin, and we know it’s not because Lance and Red don’t have enough bond–Red came to save Lance earlier in the season and in the series (forgive me for not remembering specifics on that part it’s still a little fuzzy for me lol)

But Lance is reaching out

And Red is silent

And only swoops in at the last second, when Lance is about to die

Y’all remember why Red responded to Lance at the start???

Conclusion? Red ships klance

But seriously–I think the real reason is Red wants a paladin who is true to himself, and in that moment Lance was falling back on who he used to be, not who he’d become (any thoughts???)

This scene shattered my soul

Lance is scared, he’s terrified, but he’s accepted his fate. He’s literally 18 and he’s prepared to die.

Yeah, he made death jokes, but Lance really is ready to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

So are the other paladins.

Bringing the robot into space, they were all prepared to go, luckily they survived. Season 7 was fantastic, but it also killed me. They are so young to be this accepting of death, this time it wasn’t a joke.

This season was dark, dramatic, and devastating, but it was phenomenal.

The writers know what they’re doing, I trust them. Because so far, this show is the best I’ve seen by far. It’s exceeded my expectations before, and I don’t doubt it will do it again in season 8.

we weren’t queerbaited

while it is unfortunate that adam died, i think you guys are taking things sooooo much farther than they really are. adam was literally just a plot device to show that shiro is interested in men. that’s literally all his character was there for. and while the crew shouldn’t have hyped their relationship as much as they did, we were not queerbaited by them. they were broken up and were no longer together!! the only people who queerbaited us are ourselves for making up head canons of shiro and adam still being together once he got back. that isn’t canon, just our own fantasy!! and i’m tired of people saying they killed off the lgbt rep….they didn’t!! shiro is the main lgbt representation and that’s it! he’s the one we are suppose to be focusing on, not his ex who was there for a minute tops to once again show that shiro likes men! he doesn’t have to be in a relationship in order for his gayness to be valid and legitimate. shiro is a strong poc disabled man and is gay, and that’s so so amazing on its own!! stop overlooking everything and being entitled to how the show writes it story. respect and love what we have, takashi shirogane.

Season 1: voltron is the most powerful thing in the universe.

Season 2: voltron needs immense focus and teamwork to form.

Season 3: voltron is maybe not that strong after all.

Season 4: the lion connection is sort of fickle.

Season 5: oh shit another voltron?

Season 6: jesus voltron get your shit together.

Season 7: everybody gets a robot.
