“I was there and I know how hard it is in captivity," said Menir. "Every day in captivity was very difficult. I was in a home when there was shelling all around. We were sitting in the tunnels and we were terribly afraid that not Hamas but Israel would kill us, and then they would say, ‘Hamas killed you.’ So, I very much ask as soon as possible to start exchanging the prisoners and everyone should return home. There is no priority [of some over others]. Everyone is important.” Bar Goldstein told what his family members who returned from captivity in Gaza described to him: "Fortunately, I had the privilege of receiving my sister-in-law Chen [Goldstein Almog] and her children. They were under constant threat from the IDF [Israeli army] shelling.” ... Another captive who was released with her children also expressed anger at the army’s shelling of the location where she was held in Gaza, and that Israeli Apache helicopters had opened fire at them as they were being taken from their home across the border into Gaza. She said: "The feeling we had there was that no one was doing anything for us. The fact is that I was in a hiding place that was shelled and we had to be smuggled out while we were wounded. Not to mention the helicopter that shot at us on the way to Gaza. You claim that there is intelligence, but the fact is that we were being shelled.”

I visited the palestinian children's relief fund (PCRF) website today to make a donation, and they've got a secondary donation pool being sent specifically to target humanitarian aid and support for long-term recovery in gaza. If you have the funds and want to donate, the PCRF is one of the recommended charities to donate to if you want to help.
other people could word things better than I did here, but I just wanted to make sure word gets out about the ability to directly financially support the people trying to help gaza right now.
In case you're worried about where your donation money is going, charity navigator gives PCRF a 97% reliability rating (link to the page here).
(Tangent, but while pulling up that page I found a warning about a scammer claiming to be the PCRF, keep an eye out for any potential emails like the one on this page (linked here) prompting you to donate to a bitcoin wallet)

When the death toll for Gaza goes up from disease, Israel will claim deniability, that those deaths were not deliberate and calculated. You see it with how settlers will talk about the genocide of Natives, that most of us "just died from disease then colonizers 'accidentally spread'". It is NEVER an accident. Famines and Diseases and always used as tool for genocide by colonizers

- yemen is the poorest nation in the arab world. but in two weeks time, it did what no oil or gas- rich arab nation could do. by seizing three ships and costing i****l more than 2 billion by forcing its ships to go around africa, yemen showed up.
Just a reminder that Yemen has risked it ALL for Palestine, as they are going through one of the worst humanitarian crisis' ever.
