Something Out Of The Ordinary

@jrose113

Literally everything. Stereotypical introvert Equality for all. My brain is in the universe. TWITTER: @Ordinar42250434

people who defend their favorite media by saying "but it was made by a queer content creator" are dumb as FUCK. being lgbt doesn't exclude you from being insensitive and ignorant. there isn't a point system where if you're lgbt it's 65% less bad to be racist because you're already marginalized or some shit.

I guess my life hasn't always been happy, or easy, or exactly what I wanted. At a certain point, I just have to try not to think too much about certain things, or else they'll break my heart.

BEHOLD THE SECOND BEST GIF ON TUMBLR

(I wanted the version without the text but Tumblr hates it for some reason.)

If you’re having a bad day, take a moment to breathe. <3

I’ve been fatigued and anxious for the past week or so. Had a relaxing time ruining a TERF’s day, but she got me mad at the last minute. Fuckin’ dammit. I can taunt you for turning a blind eye to the split attraction model for hours, but one transmysogynistic comment and I’m biting back insults.

Given that experience, I’d like to remind my trans followers to take care of yourselves. You don’t owe your time to anyone, and you’re not lesser for stepping away. Especially to my younger followers: It may be cathartic, but online arguments are essentially useless. The best thing to do, in my opinion, is direct your defense toward the audience that needs it. Folks who are targeted by the bigotry, folks who might be at risk of being indoctrinated. They deserve the positivity and kindness, and some good will come from that random asshole spewing hate.

That’s my opinion, at least.

I’m looking forward to being queer af with my girlfriend next week. So close to being able to see her!!!! Aaaahh!

Goodness exists in this world.

Stay safe. Take COVID seriously.

And remember-

You are valuable.

You are valid.

You are real.

LGBT+ characters and relationships should not be a choice made in season 5 after popular demand. They should be there from the start, their relationships should be a part of the story without fans having to ship people together and then the creators doing a half assed something to make them happy. Stop taking lessons from JK Rowling and put queer characters in from the start you weaklings.

While I still utilize Tumblr I'm not super active on here anymore so please follow me on Twitter. My username is Ordinary Person and the @ thing is above .

ppl who aren’t afraid to display gender nonconformity in dress, speech or action in public places make me feel so safe and normal and ok i love feminine men and masculine women and androgynous ppl who don’t tone themselves down or make themselves more palatable and understandable to an obsessively gendered + gendering society and i hope to one day truly live that kind of life

Just told my mother - a Republican and avid Tr*mp supporter - that what the US is doing to immigrants right now technically, under the UN’s definition of Genocide, is in fact genocide, and she just shrugged

You can’t tell me republicans are humane with a reaction like that

I know it says Facebookers but it applies everywhere. This NEEDS to be spread far and wide, as much as possible. If the bees go, we won’t be that far behind.

Roger and Sarina Taylor Support Bee Conscious you can them on twitter and Instagram.

Please, please share this, it affects every one of us.

Teach boys about periods

My mother also talked about periods to my brothers.

When I first got mine I had terrible cramps. Crippling cramps. I once was camping with my family and a few of my big brother’s friends when my period came. My cramps were so bad that my mom gave me a full pain killer ( I was 13 and before that she only gave me pills cut in half).

I literally laid down on my parents’ air mattress and cried in pain for an hour before the pill kicked in.

My brothers friend came in to the big tent and I was just curled up and sobbing. Now, I was quite the tomboy and was known to rough house with my brothers and their friends and made sure I wasnt seen as just “a little girl.” So my brother’s friend was confused to see me openly weeping in the fetal position (seriously, these were the worst cramps I have had in my life. My vision went white). He asked what was wrong with me.

My big brother stood up immediately and suggested a nice long hike. During this hike I am sure he had a pretty awkward conversation with his friend explaining menstrual cramps, because when they got back the pain pill had (mostly) kicked in and I was sitting up at a table when my brother’s friend sheepishly asked me if I was feeling better. I said I was better, and he said good.

When we made s'mores that night my brother and his friend kept me well supplied with chocolate.

Making sure sons know as much about periods and menstruation as daughters makes them better brothers, better sons better fathers, and better men. A man that understands a period will not lightly accuse a woman of “being on her period” if the woman is in an argument.

Raise better sons Teach them about normal bodily functions.

HIT REBLOG PLEASE

this reminds me of that post about that dude who carries tampons with him at the gym because “half the world menstruates” and “you will build a whole guest room in case your friends want to stay the night but you won’t carry tampons in case they start their periods unexpectedly” or something and honestly they both give me life. <3

Morning After Pill for HIV

I think that people forget that condoms protect you from more than just pregnancy.

And there is no morning after pill for HIV.

ACTUALLY THERE IS.

It’s called post exposure prophylaxis.

If you’ve had unprotected sex and are afraid of possibly being at risk for HIV, please go to the emergency room and ask about POST EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS.

Works for up to 48 - 72 hours after exposure to HIV.

BOOST!

I wouldn’t need this but this is actually really cool and I’d like to share it in case anyone might need it.

If you see this on your dash REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG!!!! You could save a life

There’s a FDA approved daily medication called Truvada, or the PrEP treatment, that is 92-99% effective in preventing the contraction of HIV.

Private insurance and Medicaid cover it. You can also get it for free in a lot of high risk cities like Atlanta, NY, and San Fransisco.

It’s the same cocktail they give to medical professionals who have had contaminated needle sticks/blood splashes from potentially infected blood. Very effective.

Honestly I read about this a while ago (now it’s being talked about/shown a little more) but I often wonder why it’s not talked about more. I figured it was because it was too expensive for some and doctors don’t tell you about treatments you can’t afford.

Anyway, stay safe everyone. If they claim they don’t have condoms/don’t use condoms, don’t go any further. Better safe than sorry…and if something happens have this saved/written down and get it.
