Sharpwin Week 2021 ⤷ day four: favorite tropes (1.01-3.14)
Okay I love this little crumb for a number of reasons:
1. It literally looks like she's striking a match against him when her finger runs down his chest. But SHE is the match. Girl really said "yeah you're hot, but I'm hotter" and preceded to burn like the fucking sun.
2. The familiarity of it being his chest and not his arm. We never really get casual Dickkory touch so this was a nice little nod to the fact they are completely comfort with each other and around each other. Partners on the same page.
3. The way Dick's arm moves out slightly afterwards, like he wants to reach out and prolong the contact. It's like he's being pulled into her orbit, gravitating towards her on instinct.
4. The way Kory steps up and handles it! Because she's basically been doing it all season and now Dick has a front row seat. Wifey is getting shit done.
5. The way he watches her use her power. She's a powerhouse Queen, okay? And I love moments of Dick being in awe of her badassery.
Yasss because Dick really said “imma step aside & let you do you boo.” 😍
I have come to the conclusion that DB is going to date. I don’t like it, in fact I hate it, but for my insanity I gotta accept this and be prepared for it when it happens cause after the vibe of 3x06 with Kory telling Dick to fix things with Babs and both Dick and Babs lingering feelings coming up, it’s going to happen. So to that I will sit tight, fast forward through the scenes like I did in 3x06 and wait for their breakup. And continue to keep an eye out for Dickkory’s parallels that will lead to the bombshell and direction Dickkory will head to in S4. Also if I can get through the absolute worst Dickd@wn scenes, then I can get through the forced DB scenes.
If I have to watch DickB@bs present day romance idk man I may just covert back to the ways of our ancestors i.e. reading books, going for walks, listening to public radio
