Sometimes a fanon interpretation shared by so many people will gaslight you into thinking YOU're not smart enough to understand it when, in reality, no, the collective of a fandom can indeed just be misinterpreting a character beyond parody. It's not you, it's them

So y'all remember my rotbtd fantasy/dnd-inspired designs? I have sketches ready for Snow White and Merlin, but I was thinking... I really like doing these, and I kinda want to make the Guardians in this style, but I'm struggling to choose their classes.

So! If anyone wants to give me their opinions, suggestions, etc, I'd be happy to read them and get some ideas from someone who knows dnd classes better than me!

This is what I managed to come up with:

  • North: barbarian, fighter, basically something so he can use his swords (I can't remember their technical name, sorry)
  • Bunny: either monk (he knows Tai Chi), druid or ranger, but if someone finds something better, I'm all ears
  • Toothiana: she's a struggle, I really have no idea for her.... maybe a cleric, since I've never drawn one??
  • Sandy: warlock could be cool (with the Moon as a patron), but idk

if you dont mind another dnd class as reference here, maybe even artificer for bunny bc of the inventing and how he uses eggs and whatnot as weapons (bombs), since artificers have this thing where the way they cast spells LOOKS different bc theyre doing it via "producing wonders using mundane items or outlandish inventions".. idk

tooth i can see her being a druid bc of her strong connection to nature in her backstory PLUS her baby teeth could be some sort of familiar

and for sandy idk, warlock with moon patron DOES sound cool, though tbf i can also see him being a cleric or paladin (if you once again dont mind me using dnd as a reference point), dnd has the twilight domain for clerics and its got alot of healing stuff, plus the spell sleep as a subclass guaranteed spell! north could probably be a good barbarian, yeah!! i can see the (dnd typical again sorry) berserk feature being pretty ic, given how fiercely he protects those closest to him or those weaker than him, like children dnd is my only good reference for fantasy/rpg classes sorry sobs BUT its fun to think about :) (can def see jack as an arcane trickster type of rogue)
