Fast X (2023) Review

this is the first Fast & Furious movie i've ever seen,, holy shit. this movie was almost non-stop action and i kinda loved it. Jason Momoa is perhaps the best movie villain of the year. at one point Pete Davidson was there. everything blew up. every time they cut to a close-up of Vin Diesel trying to emote it made me laugh. i was never bored for a second. great movie

Book Club: The Next Chapter (2023) Review

what do you want from me? it’s 4 older women going to Italy and having fun/drinking wine, i kinda loved it. humor is cheesy and the whole thing looks cheap (they shot on location but it still feels like so many shots were green-screened) but I still enjoyed it for what it was. Make sure to go on a discount day when the theater is packed with older ladies, you’ll have a blast

BlackBerry (2023) Review

This summer, you WILL believe a movie about the BlackBerry can entertain you.

Seriously, this was a mighty fine movie with career-high performances from both Glenn Howerton & Jay Baruchel. It was funny & engaging, with just dynamic directing from Matt Johnson. Also, SungWon Cho is in this! He’s from the internet and he’s in this movie! I think that’s cool

Fool’s Paradise (2023) Review

You know I had to go see the Charlie Day Silent Movie, and it was okay! Charlie himself was incredible in the role, and I found the entire thing pretty darn funny! The cast is stacked, not only with his It’s Always Sunny pals, but also Jason Sudeikis & Jason Bateman, his Horrible Bosses co-stars!

However, the plot was a bit uneven at parts. I wasn’t quite sure what Charlie was trying to say about Hollywood in certain scenes. But I certainly liked it better than Babylon! And also I’m glad Cocaine Bear isn’t the last movie that Ray Liotta will ever be in, I didn’t wanna say it at the time but that would’ve been a real downer ending for his film career/legacy

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) Review

every time i see a marvel movie i inadvertently take at least one micronap, and yet i still go see them in the theater every time. naps in the theater are fun. anyway this was was good! i liked the humor, i liked Rocket’s storyline. they really weren’t afraid to *go there* and i think this is an overall good sendoff for the Guardians

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) Review

i saw this last month but i loved it so much i have to share what i thought with y’all

i loved it! you don’t have to have any knowledge of D&D to enjoy this flick, they explain all the important stuff for you and the rest is smooth sailing. great plot, great performances, bananas-impressive special effects, including really creative & fun practical effects. to quote harry styles, this movie feels like a movie
