🌟 New

  • We now show audio information you add (like title, artist, album, and album cover) for uploaded audio on the blog network.
  • On web, links to the Mass Post Editor now open in a new tab.
  • On web, on the mobile layout of the site, tapping a blog’s info (avatar, name, or title) inside the Account menu in the navigation drawer will now go straight to that blog's management view.
  • Previously, it was possible that we could recommend different reblogs from a post you had dismissed. Now, based on your feedback, we will no longer recommend a post or any of its reblogs for a month after dismissal.

🛠 Fixed

  • On web, when using a touchscreen device, the toggle button for expanding a blog's stats in the Account menu is now much easier to tap, regardless of the site layout.
  • Folks on the latest version of the iOS and Android apps should no longer experience audio from ads autoplaying (even when no ad is visible). If you still do, please contact support!

🚧 Ongoing

  • We're aware that the Notes view on the iOS app can sometimes appear broken after re-launching the app. Fully closing the app might fix this. We should have a more permanent fix in the next update.
  • Staff are hard at work updating our docs. If you see anything confusing or out-of-date, please send some feedback!

🌱 Upcoming

  • We're rolling out the ability to have more than one type of badge visible next to your blog. This option will be available soon!

🌟 New

  • You can now target your Blazed posts based on your blog’s specific language setting.
  • On web, when moving through feeds with the J and K keyboard shortcuts, the glow that appears is now a bit nicer to look at.

🛠 Fixed

  • Earlier today, password reset and verification emails were taking longer than expected to send from Tumblr, but it’s cleared up now.
  • On web, when using the site on a tablet device or with a narrow resized window, the navigation drawer no longer takes up a large amount of space when opened.
  • When using direct messaging on Tumblr in a mobile phone browser, the back button behavior is now more consistent when moving across conversations and your blogs’ inboxes.

🚧 Ongoing

  • We’re aware that some users are still experiencing audio from ads autoplaying (even when no ad is visible) in the mobile apps, we’re still chasing this issue down as quickly as we can.

🌱 Upcoming

  • We’re rolling out the ability to have more than one type of badge visible next to your blog. This option will be available in the next version of the mobile apps, and released soon on web!

🌟 New

  • In the iOS app, we’re experimenting with replacing the Account nav bar item with the newly-redesigned TumblrMart. We’re working on more experiments changing the overall navigation experience in the Tumblr apps, so stay tuned.
  • You can now gift Important Rainbow Checkmarks to others on Tumblr. (Note that you can disable showing these Important Checkmarks in your blog settings, including the ones you’re gifted or have purchased for yourself via TumblrMart.)

🛠 Fixed

  • Fixed a bug on web that could allow people to edit Neue Post Format posts in the legacy editor, which frequently led to broken post content (such as broken polls).

🚧 Ongoing

  • We’re aware of an issue in the latest version of the iOS app that is causing the share-to-Tumblr option in other apps to not carry over the item you wanted to share. We’re working to get a fix out as quickly as we can.

🌟 New

  • We’ve rolled out poll creation to more people, and we’re planning on getting poll creation out to everyone by next week!
  • We’ve brought back the “For You” tab in Explore on web.
  • We’ve rolled out the new recommendation label “Liked by {blog name}” to replace “In your orbit”. This does not change how these recommendations are sourced; if you choose not to share your likes, they will not be recommended to others.
  • In version 28.0 and beyond of the mobile apps, we’ve added a message about what to do next if you have an empty “Your tags” tab.
  • Reporting a blog as spam and/or a bot will now remove it from your Activity feed the next time you view your Activity.

🛠 Fixed

  • We’re fixing more bugs with polls, including improving how they display for logged out users, and updating every poll on the page on web when there are multiple instances of the same poll present on the page.
  • Fixed an issue with the post form on web which prevented CTRL+Z (⌘+Z on Apple devices) from undoing the first action made in the editor.
  • Fixed a bug on iOS that was showing an empty set of quotation marks in push notifications about anonymous asks, instead of showing the actual ask text.
  • Fixed some issues that were causing items in TumblrMart to always display in English despite your device’s language settings.

🚧 Ongoing

  • We’re aware that Twitter has announced it’ll be shutting off free API access, which may impact Tumblr’s ability to auto-post from Tumblr to Twitter for users who have that set up. We’ll provide an update on this blog in the future about what ends up happening with this functionality.

🌟 New

  • On the web, you’ll now see a helpful message when you reach the end of a feed (on a tag page with very few results, for example) or visit a completely empty feed (on the “your tags” dashboard tab if you don’t follow any tags, for example).
  • You can no longer apply formatting to a poll question. Attempting to do so previously would result in visible HTML once the post was published.
  • Kokobot’s initial message now includes a line about how to stop receiving messages (you just need to reply “stop”).

🛠 Fixed

  • Fixed an issue on mobile web that prevented the creation of secondary blogs.
  • Fixed another issue on mobile web that prevented users from accessing messaging.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the post editor to break when reblogging some polls.
  • Fixed an issue that made it possible for the poll results total to be over 100%.
  • Fixed an issue that made it so poll results would sometimes not load in reblog notes.
  • On web, we fixed a bug that caused reblog attribution to be missing from posts on the blog view likes tab.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some post embeds to have scrollbars.

Update: The text notification has announced that Cherry Prepaid will be terminate the service of promo offers and allowances until March 16, 2023 and on the following day it will be unavailable the service due to SIM Registration issues on their carrier and it will be migrated to TM subscribers* with Mobile Number Portability feature SIM.

* Note: Cherry Prepaid users will also acceptable for Globe Prepaid and GOMO subscribers to switch the same MNP service until further notice.
