Probably thinking about fictional characters

what if the strawhats had different roles on the ship⁉️ i swapped everyone’s roles except for luffy because i can’t imagine him being anything but the captain

these are loose redesigns since their canon designs don’t really read as their roles all that much to begin with. some extra doodles and ideas for this in the cut !!

After finally seeing the way Solomon's pact with Asmo was made, I'm thinking this man is SO lucky to be immortal. Because with how protective the brothers are over each other ( especially Lucifer ), I can perfectly imagine them getting together to go straight up murder him after Asmo tells them what happened.

It's no wonder Lucifer despises this man, his first introduction to Solomon ( in the og timeline ) was probably Asmo telling him and the brothers that he had gotten a pact with him while completely drunk and out of his mind. Or in other words, he had been manipulated into giving someone complete control over him while not even being in a state where he could give proper consent.

And going back to what Lucifer told us when Solomon first made an appearance in omswd, you can see his clear resentment towards him:

What he's basically saying is that Solomon is the type who'll do ANYTHING to get into a pact with a demon if he has the opportunity to do so.

And remember, this is one of the dialogues you get when you give Lucifer a certain item in PRESENT ( sure, he says "before" and we don't know how long ago it was, but it was for sure after the whole thing with Asmo ).

( the credits to this image go to @boozye, by the way )

And that combined with his behavior when telling this story of how he met Asmo on two separate occasions, you can see he feels no remorse at all, to the point where he's laughing at Asmo's reaction to waking up and finding out he had basically signed away his freedom to a random stranger.

And when we show disapproval over this, he basically brushes it off as: "that's the way you're usually supposed to treat demons"?? Like... WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, SOLOMON???

And the way he says this feels so icky, he's talking about demons like they're nothing but toys, something he can use and do whatever he wants with it.

And maybe I'm reaching by bringing this up, but this is literally how the devs chose to describe the way Solomon views the brothers:

So yeah, Solomon is REALLY digging a hole for himself right now.

And going back to the Lucifer thing, I wonder how he feels about Solomon being the only one who was able to follow MC into the past. Because as much as he has grown more tolerating of Solomon over the course of the game, I sure as hell wouldn't consider them friends.

This isn't a Solomon hate post by the way, I love his character and how complex he is, I've just been holding off till we got the full story from him to post this. 🐢

I FORGOT I WANTED TO CHIME IN WITH SOMETHING

On his last birthday event UR card, the devilgram story revolves around Solomon seeking to listen to a very rare specific music piece, and then finding out that Lucifer just so happens to own a copy.

Done deal right? Just ask Lucifer to lend it to him, it's his birthday after all. Lucifer HAS willingly lent out his records before. No biggie.

NOPE Solomon goes about it the most roundabout possible way. Essentially ends up forcing Lucifer to donate the record to the RAD library, so he can listen to it.

(ngl I hated this story but that is besides the point)

How does Solomon justify this?

He doesn't want to be indebted to Lucifer 🤔

Much to think about.

Notice: not only do your friends actually like you, they secretly like you twice as much as they let on

An experience that made me feel much more assured in my friendships was at college, a friend and myself were talking about a third friend of ours and how cool and knowledgeable and smart she is and how we feel like we could never be that cool. The next day I was working with a professor on some paper presentations we were about to have and when I came out of the staff room I was informed that these two aforementioned friends were having the same discussion about me. And it turns out we spent a lot of time thinking about our friends who aren't currently in the room and gushing over how cool and smart and talented they are without being able to say all of it to their face.

Your friends secretly love you a lot more than they already express, just like you love them so intensely that saying it all to their faces would sound clumsy to your own ears. It's true though

"nothing is real atoms never touch each other youve never touched anything in your life" ok. well when i pet my dog he is soft and when he licks my hand it is wet and that is far more real to me than whatevers going on at an atomic level

imagine you're frolicking in a field, prancing through long grass, singing "falalalala~", occasionally picking a flower. etc, etc. but a guy in the same field is watching you, about 20 paces away. he lowers his opera glasses (which he was using to watch you) and starts clutching his head and screaming with blind rage because of how much you're pissing him off. that's what it's like to be on the internet.

being a fan of a character is sometimes “look at how complex he is. he’s so intricate and his story is so tragic and he’s so much more complicated than people give him credit for” and sometimes it’s like “haha look at this failure of a person. I wanna throw him off a cliff and see what happens”

when u come up with a tiny change for your story that not only makes the writing flow better but also hammers in the character motivations and story theme
