what are your thoughts on raian? i’m very interested in them (mostly because of the fact that they’re a species of octopus but they aren’t considered an octoling)

i really love them (i use they and he for raian interchangeably oops)

im always fasinated with cirrate octopuses or cehplopods as splatoon characters because of their strange classifications. while raian isn't an octoling, they're something..similar? adjacent? anyway, my personal headcanon is that raian is from the deep sea metro area (or as i like to call it the deep sea city, because obviously, people live down there, right?) they had to be properly acclimated to the surface overtime, but are doing much better now. how they got out is a mystery.
