Diane Abbott response to Amber Rudd's comments on stop and search

Diane Abbott MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary, responding to the comments from the Home Secretary on increased use of stop and search, said: 

“Labour supports evidence-based stop and search, not a return to the bad old days of discriminatory stops that focus on particular communities.

“Police officers should be confident in doing their job, but the Tories have overseen a huge cut in police numbers. Simply granting police additional powers won’t make up for that shortfall. Labour in government will recruit 10,000 extra police officers to help tackle violent crime and keep the public and our communities safe.

“The Government should stop trying to con the public by attempting to cover up their failure to tackle rising violent crime - when the crime stats were released they insisted crime was falling, but now want to increase stop and search.“

am i a “liberal”?

heyo. so, idk but i want to rant about why im a “liberal” cos i have no life.       so, here are some reasons why im a liberal…

I think that the daily misconceptions about minorities and the bullying and ridiculing they face because of something they cannot control. lets get this straight (ha i just said straight triggered) you CANNOT help being LGBT. you cannot help if you are a boy or a girl or anywhere in between. you CANNOT help your skin colour or in fact your religion (until ur 18). WE are ALL THE SAME. everyone. Now, refugees are NOT terrorists, refugees are humans that are running away from the bombs that WE are sending. i am accepting of you, refugees. we are here for you. i personally do not accept the religion of islam. HOWEVER i do accept muslims however the same as i accept christians or hindus when i do not accept their religion concept. I am an equalist not a feminist. men and women both have to live up to unrealistic standards and stereotypes based on body image and “things we should like and how we should act”. Fuck i hate football and i don’t mind wearing gender neutral clothes. My name is joe. i use he and him pronouns. ok? 

now back to being a “liberal”. theres so much negative stigma around that word. a liberal is somebody who believes that people are equal. everyone should be accepted. if you have not experienced what you are criticising, THEN DONT CRITICISE IT. just go “ok thats cool” and leave it. don’t assume that people who act a certain way should be called “gay” or “straight” like when did somebodies actions define there sexuality. the way people dress don’t define there gender. and there genitals also shouldn’t imprison the way we should act. 

i do not accept the crazy and warped views of the feminists who hate men, like do you know how hard it is to be put into a harsh one way street of being a man. like if you don’t conform to this tight narrative as to how “we” should act.  i really am not saying that women don’t go through struggles that are as bad and sometimes worse than men.  

but we all equal k

but just be nice
