Progress

I am down one pound which doesn't seem like much for 2 weeks but I finally broke my plateau so I'm thrilled. Plus I lost an inch off my waist so I I'm 139lbs and a 27.5 inch waist. At this point i dont care about the scale because my clothes fit better, I'm losing inches and I'm toning up fast. I decided to up my calories because I dont think I'm eating enough. I workout 4 times a week for an hour each, burning about 500 calories each time if not more and only eating 1200 - 1300 at best. I've upped it to about 1600 but I'm not counting to closely, just eating very clean. I can't wait to see what the next 2 weeks bring!

First and last bathroom mirror pic I’ll take at our school gym 😅. Super thankful I finally got some new gym shoes though, my feet feel SO MUCH BETTER, especially during cardio. Also super thankful that it is starting to get warm outside which means…. I made it through winter without any sort of relapse!!! For a little under ten years I’ve struggled with eating disorders, body image, depression, and self harm but this year I decided I would not let it control me! With a lot of prayer and help from God I can honestly say I feel better than ever 😊

Where are my active fitblrs at?!

I just unfollowed over 20 inactive blogs and I’m looking for some awesome fitblrs to follow! 

Just a friendly reminder for your fitness journey: Your muscles do not grow during exercise. Exercise is only the stimulus. The body strengthens the muscles while you are resting.  

So make sure that you give 100% with rest, just like you would give 100% exercising. 

Yesterday a man came into my work, all scruffy and dirty with a big backpack on his shoulders, and as he was leaving I told him to stay dry because it’s been raining almost none stop for a few days. 

He stopped and turned around and laughed, and then he showed me his new shoes that he just bought and said “I’ve been walking the perimeter of the United States; these shoes will last me another month, rain or sunshine.”

We talked for a bit and he told me about how he’s walking around the perimeter of the entire U.S. to raise awareness and money for the homeless. He told me about some things he’s seen and the places he’s been so far. Before he left, he gave me a big smile, said “God be with you,” and walked out the door with the happiest strut I’ve ever seen. 

He started off in Virginia and made it all the way down here to Florida on foot, and he’s still got a long way to go. He was very kind and very optimistic. 

I’ve never met someone like him before, so I want to try and spread him and his effort here on tumblr. 

He isn’t very popular yet, but I really want to try to spread his word and raise awareness of the homelessness issue here in the U.S., and try to help him raise money for this cause.

It’s been almost 3 months since I posted this and Leroy is now in Texas! He still has a really long way to go though so let’s keep this circulating, get his name and his cause out there!
