Felt like pizza for dinner. Decided that I wanted to make pizzas using pre-made crusts rather than spicing up a frozen cheese pizza like I usually do. Made our favorite go-to pizza with pineapple, green onions, green peppers, & minced fresh garlic. Used a Tomato & Basil pasta sauce for the base. And then I made some pesto & cheese flatbread as well. Definitely filled my craving perfectly, & I may keep the pizza crusts on hand now (instead of frozen pizzas). I did a thing today. This is something that I've been thinking about for about a year now. It's a step toward meeting some of my goals with my business, as well as my dreams. And it's a big achievement for me. I know that to some, this seems like a spur of the moment deal. And honestly, this had nothing to do with being able to with being able to perform weddings (though, that is an added perk!). But it's official! Tally has obviously been playing in the back yard, now that I have mowed the grass 🤣🤣🤣 It has taken 3 days, 3 different mowers, & about 8 hours, but the back yard is finally mowed! And I can honestly say that I am doing better than I have been doing over the last 8 months as far as stamina, & physical health goes. I'm still not back to where I was before getting COVID, & I may not ever be. But I am OK with that. I have learned that our back yard is definitely bigger than our front yard, & both side yards. And I will have to do the regular maintenance of mowing the yards on alternate weeks. However, deciding to purchase an electric mower to help with the times when the grass gets too long or too wet was totally worth it! The rotary push mower is still my favorite, but even being able to use that was a show of improvement for me. It's a full body workout using a rotary push mower, & I haven't been as fully aware of that before now. Moderna Dose #2, Day 5: I finally feel human today. But due to overdoing things yesterday, & the effects of the last week, I am REALLY exhausted & fatigued today. Back to my "normal" levels for joint, muscle, & nerve pain (which is fairly high). Got quite a bit done around the house, so I feel productive at least. I felt like taking a few pics of one of our lilac shrubs because it reminds me of my house growing up, along with my Mom, & my grandma. Moderna Dose #2, Day 4: Ordered new masks for work for myself & the kid, so that we can work outdoors, or for doing setup & teardown. Yes, we still plan to wear masks even after being vaccinated, because of allergies or when we are sick, or for certain events... I tested the mask out by trying out the new electric lawn mower we bought (I have allergies to grass pollen, & generally use a rotary lawn mower, but the grass is too wet & long currently). Turns out, the mask works great! But I overdid things today... Had to run errands, but I felt deceptively better. Got light headed a lot if I was standing for too long. And I was VERY fatigued & exhausted today. But the nerve pain is FINALLY diminished, along with most of my joint & muscle pain. But I'm definitely not 100% yet. Moderna Dose #2, Day 3: I felt more human, but the whole excruciating nerve pain from my teeth is getting old. Same with the joint & muscle pain making me feel old. I'm still having weird itching patches all over my upper torso, especially my arm. And my arm still hurts. I am also still experiencing exhaustion & fatigue. But other than that, I'm "better". Moderna Dose #2, Day 2: I am feeling both better & worse today. Still have no energy, & I'm exhausted. I got 9 hours of sleep overnight, & then took a nap as well. The nerve pain, muscle pain, & joint pain are still higher than my normal levels. Brain fog is still an issue, & I am having trouble carrying on conversations still. My arm is still VERY sore. Headaches (in my case, migraines) are definitely a thing. I am running a low grade fever (my normal temp is about 96.8°F, late yesterday, into today, I'm running 98.1°F). My balance & equilibrium are better today, but just barely, so my bed has been my friend. I am also dealing with weird itching patches all over my body. Maybe tomorrow will be better... Moderna Dose #2, Full Day #1: Keeping in mind a few things: I am 7 months post-Covid, I have been experiencing long-hauler symptoms since having COVID, & I had a mild allergic reaction to the first dose of the vaccine; today was better than I expected. My arm is incredibly sore, & while I'm not feeling as congested as I did having COVID, all of the muscle pain, joint pain, & nerve pain I tend to have normally is exacerbated today. I have been having breathing issues, not in that I can't breathe, but that I am coughing a lot, & needing to use my inhalers & oxygen canisters to make breathing easier. I have also had major brain fog going on today, & I am really exhausted, with no energy, even though I haven't been able to get any extra sleep. I've planned a few days where I am down for the count, so if I feel the same tomorrow, it's not a big deal. Give me 2 weeks, & then bring on ALL of the awkward, long hugs that I've missed over the last year! The next few days are going to be rough, I can tell. But this is worth it, & I'm hoping that maybe some of my long-hauler symptoms may lessen or go away. Decided that I should use some of my indica drops so that I would be less anxious going into this dose (especially given all of the anxiety over having to go to a hospital, etc.), & I also started listening to meditation music as soon as I sat down after getting the shot. This time, I had no adverse effects (no allergic reaction) to the vaccine. But I am super tired, & starting to get sore. I forgot to do a celebration of Beltane post... It's been really enjoyable watching all of these greens & blooms sprout up over the last month. I haven't done anything different, except starting to clean up the table, & spreading everything out a little more. My table top garden 🥰🥰🥰 Some of these are now just over a year old. Some are only about 6 months old. And then there's my Basil & my Mint, which are just a couple months old. The newest is the one with the purple leaves. Don't know what it is, but I love it. And I REALLY love how much my coleus is flourishing! (I actually had to take 2 flower buds off it 😱). I never knew I had a green thumb before. So this is my happy place. (at Lake Loveland - Loveland, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/CN1nDbXjONEkCY93vPk5taXMeyAu5u4jQIBRCY0/?igshid=1smf00n13kwvz
It took almost a year & a half for this plant to bloom again, but I have flowers!! This honestly makes me so happy!! This is the 1st plant that I've had that is a blooming plant, AND I've kept it alive!! 🥰🥰🥰 (at Lake Loveland - Loveland, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/CN1mKwaD9uK6IZnBD_Y_LPuA8p5AuuspkiS-YY0/?igshid=tl5oo6wni6xv
Started doing more meal prep, so that I could put dinners like this together in a breeze. Sliced up the chicken breasts I had made previously, added a mix of chopped green peppers, yellow squash, & onions, added some rice (it turned pink when I cooked it 🤣), & heated everything. I opted to use a parmesan pesto dressing & a honey ginger marinade for flavor. Finally remembered that we have a Dehydrator setting on the Foodi, & I have about 10 lbs of the cutest Red Delicious apples... I've been making apple chips from scratch that last few days. Literally all I've been doing is spraying the sliced apples with Young Living's Fruit & Veggie spray, slicing up the apples, & putting them in the Foodi. These chips are amazing! Moderna #1, Day 4: FINALLY feeling good! My arm is sore, but only at the injection site, & it's very mild. Got to enjoy some time in the hot tub at the rec center again, & walking the lazy river. Still have some general muscle soreness & joint pain, but that's normal for me. But on the flip side, my insomnia seems to be back... ** Sigh ** So in other words, I'm back to my "new normal" post-Covid, where I am hit or miss on my energy hit points, & my insomnia & exhaustion seem to be fighting for priority status. But today was good. (at City of Loveland - Chilson Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNUHtMKDv700r_MiBgjO4rpbwV0VpOYpyZeXyQ0/?igshid=18px3d675ajkc
Two "cats" in a tree 🤣🤣🤣 - The kid decided to climb up one of the trees in the back yard, & Draco decided to join in the fun. 🤣🥰 (at Lake Loveland - Loveland, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNR6XtPDiEXHhHkFhFsob9-0fzG1hvEeiQgMf00/?igshid=1hsfwxsstyo49
Moderna #1 Day 3: Feeling mostly human again today. Did my hairs into a braid (on 1 side - love the asymmetrical haircut), put on some outside clothes, & enjoyed the sun for a bit. I would still rate my overall state as fair, but my specific symptoms as mild. My arm is still sore, but I can use it again. And I'm still exhausted, but not as bad as yesterday (more along the lines of my usual levels of hit points lately). Not much appetite today either. I think I overdid the use of my arm raking up yard debris, so definitely not back to my "full normal" yet, but maybe tomorrow. Moderna #1, Day 2: Never really got to feeling totally normal yesterday, but I'm kind of used to that any more. And after my reaction yesterday, I kind of expected to not feel better immediately. But today, my whole entire arm is moderately sore, & hard to lift due to the soreness (kind of like DOMS after a heavy lifting arms day at the gym). I've also had diarrhea (for all those AFAB, think of the period s$*ts), moderate muscle & joint pain, & exhaustion (after having insomnia overnight). Hoping tomorrow will be better. 🥰 (at Lake Loveland - Loveland, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNOnmAnjyTQDYwuJ4M-uOCPe6zxQFoT0IE1aS00/?igshid=mig7nnt0ztyp
Moderna vaccine #1! I already have started having a reaction to the 1st dose. Honestly, I expected that I would have something due to the fact that I get mild anaphylaxis from too much caffeine. So I spent about 15 minutes in the ambulance getting checked out after my tongue started feeling thick & fuzzy, I got light headed, a bit woozy, & had difficulties breathing. My arm has also been numb & tingling all the way down to my fingers. The very friendly, & nice lead medic gave me the heads up that my 2nd dose is definitely going to trigger COVID symptoms, due to already having COVID once, being a long-hauler, having asthma, & based on my reaction today. Obviously, this didn't stop me from getting vaccinated! I will continue to post updates, for anyone interested. 🥰 (at The Ranch Events Complex) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNL4zKZDGvxO2PYXVP-lYRDXQBCC2N9CG9rO5Y0/?igshid=bn52c9kv9ybs
