Hi everyone, we're 3 disabled trans girls and rent is coming. Our lease has just rolled over for a new year and with it has come a price hike! On top of this we have an electric bill that is doubly high due to ac usage because of the heatwave, and top of all of that our ebt was severely cut and does not even begin to cover food for the month.

We are going to be $600 short for all of these bills!

The aqi for our area is consistently above 100 lately due to the northwest being on fire. Please, help us pay our bills so we don't lose our housing during these dangerous times? Thank you all 💙

Help Two Trans Lesbians Recover From a Medical Crisis

Since Tumblr finally deigned to give me this blog back, I'm remaking this post because we still need money, and everything we've just been through these last few weeks has both of us at our wit's end.

To summarize: My wife and I have struggled to make ends meet for the last couple of months. I've been searching for jobs with no luck.

At the end of July, my wife was hospitalized because she had a double-digit number of blood clots in her legs and lungs that could easily have been lethal if they hadn't been caught early.

We've had to prioritize things she required after being discharged (blood thinners, compression socks, painkillers), which was a massive unexpected blow to our already strained economy and means we haven't had the money to pick up our other medicine (including our hormones) or go shopping for groceries.

Please, we're rapidly running out of food to eat. If anyone is capable of helping, even just by sharing this post, we would both be incredibly grateful.

Um hi y'all!! It's been a long time!! I am unfortunately here with a need for assistance and bad news again. Last year my mom got diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer; after a year almost to the date, and after a wonderful summer where we thought she was doing so much better, she went to the ER and they found it had moved to her brain. She currently has stage 4 brain cancer. This week we will know for sure about palliative care for her, but it could be anywhere from days to weeks before she passes.

My wife and i very thankfully are about to go see her (the first time they'll be meeting my mom, actually) next week. Unfortunately it costs a lot of money to get a passport and get everything together!!! We have to make a drive 3.5 hours one way to have an emergency passport issued for my wife. The passport and fees are $225; coupled with gas and food and buying cat supplies for when we're gone, it's about $300 all together. I get paid literally next week but as this was truly the most devastating and surprising news I've ever gotten, so i was a little unprepared

Anyway if anyone could throw spare change my way, we would really appreciate it. I know it's a really big goal and is a lot of money, but really anything is super helpful and I'm grateful to anyone who's made it this far lol

8/19/23 URGENT!! HELP NEEDED

so while i was trying to work today in the heat, the car broke down. it needs a new alternator which is GREAT... bc we just replaced it AND the battery last month. the part we need wont be available for a whole week so, i could really really use some help, since my job is delivery driving, i'm out of work until it's fixed.

i'm a cripple with kids to support as i also look for a different job. unfortunately this all came at the Worst Time Possible, since i need to cover insurance, tags, THIS MESS, and rent.

so while i was trying to work today in the heat, the car broke down. it needs a new alternator which is GREAT... bc we just replaced it AND the battery last month. the part we need wont be available for a whole week so, i could really really use some help, since my job is delivery driving, i'm out of work until it's fixed.

i'm a cripple with kids to support as i also look for a different job. unfortunately this all came at the Worst Time Possible, since i need to cover insurance, tags, THIS MESS, and rent.

Some people my age want to be the ~punk badass queer elder~ so bad but will brag about hating children. How are you gonna be a queer elder when you call kids “snot nosed brats” and whine every time they’re in your line of sight? How do you expect the next generation to look up to you when you don’t even like them? 💀

Someone in an autism facebook group I'm in just asked "How am I supposed to earn enough to make a living without burning out?"

Someone replied: "You're not. Even neurotypicals can't right now in the system designed for them. We're the canaries in the coalmine. When we start failing, they know something is wrong."

People keep saying, "Oh, everyone thinks they're neurodivergent now!" or they'll say it's the foods or chemicals or whatever other nonsense they've fallen for, but to me the answer is so obvious?

We've gotten to a point that more and more people are being left behind by the system, making it so that neurodivergent parents who could get by fine *enough* in decades/centuries past are bringing children into a world that cannot and will not attempt to accommodate them. There's nothing in the water and people aren't faking, it's just that this is no longer sustainable or livable and of course people with disabilities will be hit first and hit the hardest. There aren't more people with it, it's just harder to go through life without being aware that you're not functioning the way your peers seem to be able to.
