authors notes: I don’t know how the griers living conditions are, like who lives with Elizabeth or Chad or Nila….so I just went off of Elizabeth and Chad being together for that day.
"(Y/N)!" Skylynn cheers as I enter the door, "can we play horses? You can have the white one and I can have the spotted one!"
"Sky," Nash comes up behind her pulling her away from the doorway, "let (Y/N) get through the door before you bombard her with your horses." He smiles at his little sister. "Mom, (Y/N)’s here to babysit Skylynn!" He calls to his mom upstairs.
"I’ll be right there!!" Elizabeth calls and I place my bag down on the floor.
"Hi (Y/N) come in," Chad says from the kitchen. Walking around the stairs I enter the kitchen attached to the living room, "okay so you know the drill, Nash, Elizabeth and I are going to the meet up at Vine head courtiers and Hayes should be here around 7:30," Chad grabs his coat from the closet and tugs it on, "Skylynn ate lunch and her her dinner is in the fridge," Chad huffs loudly. "Nash! Elizabeth! Let’s go!!" The three of them head to the front door before I can even get two words out. Nash comes running into the kitchen and grabs his coat from the chair, "Bye (Y/N)!!" Nash jokingly yells and slams the door behind him.
"How do you live with them Sky?" I sarcastically ask the small child and she giggles, "I don’t know!" Skylynn sits cross legged on the ground and bounces in her spot. "Can we watch ‘Up’?" The small child asks cheerfully and I nod with a smile. I grab the remote from the light brown coffee table in front of the couch. Clicking on the Apple TV I search "Up" and the Disney movie begins to play. Skylynn’s eyes brighten and she stands up from her spot on the floor and walking over to the couch next to me. Crawling over to my side Skylynn lays down resting her head on my lap and she curls her legs up into her stomach. Sighing, I look down at her and smile.

"I want a dog like Doug." Skylynn says pointing at the yellow dog running around on the tv.
"Yeah, he sure is cute, huh?" I look down at the small blonde and watch as her smile grows. I bring a hand down and brush her hair out of her face pulling it back. "Can you do my hair? I don’t have a sister and i wish I did. I don’t like having brothers." Skylynn sits up and frowns her bottom lip.
HAYES POV
"I don’t have a sister and I wish I did. I don’t like having brothers." I hear Skylynn mumble from the living room. Peering around the corner of the kitchen I see Sky with her head on (Y/N)’s lap and (Y/N) smiling down at her. I’ve always liked (Y/N) I’m not even sure why. Maybe it was her gentle way with Skylynn whenever she babysits, or her smile…her flawless smile, or maybe it was all of it. Just everything about her was perfect and made my heart flutter like nothing else.
"Skylynn!" (Y/N) groans pulling me from my unnecessary thoughts, "don’t ever say that. Will, Nash and Hayes all love you. They might not act like it every second of the day, but they love you more then I’ve ever seen a brother love their baby sister." She finishes and my heart melts at her kind words, I narrow my eyes and look at Skylynn, her expression changed from upset to genuinely happy.
"Really?" Skylynn asks never looking up from her lap which seemed more interesting to her then (Y/N).
"Yes, Sky." She smiles and my heart skips a beat, stepping around the corner of the kitchen I enter the living room trying not to make too much noise, but failing. I trip over my own feet and fall into the small end table.
"Um hi Hayes? Snoop much??" (Y/N) rolls her eyes while laughing.
"Damn it. Sorry guys." I stand up brushing my clothes off. I shake my hair and run my hand through it.
"Hayes!" Skylynn squeals and runs to me from the couch. I greet her with a hug and pick her up with ease.
"Well I guess I can go now…" (Y/N) sighs picking up her purse and cell phone.
"No-" I yell and she raises her eyebrows in confusion.
"What why? Hayes you’re home now, we finished our movie and Skylynn obviously is tired." She says pointing at a sleeping Skylynn with her head on my shoulder.
"Because, I-I um," I scrabble for words, "it’s late and you know my parents love you, just stay. Watch a movie, hang out."
"I don’t see why not," (Y/N) finally agrees, "here I’ll put her to bed." She says taking Skylynn from my arms her smooth hands brushing against my bicep. As she walks away I get the chills thinking about her. Her beautiful hair, her eyes that shine bright whenever I see her smile. Just everything about her.
"Hayes? Earth to Hayes." (Y/N) smirks waving her hand inches from my face, I shake my head from my thought and smile at her. "What do you wanna watch?"
"You can pick." I shrug.
"No no, you can do that to me!" (Y/N) giggles sitting on the couch, "you wanted me to stay. You," she pokes my chest, "pick."
"Fine!" I surrender and seat next to her searching through Netflix finally coming to "21 Jump Street". I click the movie on and turn the light off. I notice (Y/N) yawns quietly before her eyes start to drift away from the screen. She rests her hand in her palm and I grab the blanket from behind us and toss it over both of us. Her heavy head slowly falls down and snaps back up again as she tries to stay awake.
"(Y/N)," she glances at me, "here." I pull her closer and she cuddles into my side resting her sleepy head on my shoulder.
"Thanks." She groggily smiles before drifting off into a peaceful sleep. My heart flutters at the thought of her sleeping cuddled against me. Is this really happening? I know it isn’t much but I’ve liked her for the longest time.
"I kinda like you, (Y/N)." I whisper looking down at her relaxed features. God she’s perfect.
"I kinda like you too, Hayes." She sleepy replies and I blush.
"Oh shit you heard me?"
"Yes sir, and I’m glad I did." She smiles, "Goodnight Hayes."
"Goodnight (Y/N)." I mumble before kissing the top of her head.
