The longer you entertain what’s not for you, the longer you postpone what is.
The person I reblogged this from deserves to be happy
I tried to scroll past this. I really did
Heey! How are you doing? I recently started reading Yasha and was surprised to find Sing in the story. I was wondering if you know other yoshida-sensei’s mangas that are connected to banana fish?
Hi! I’m fine, thanks for asking! Hope you’re doing well too! ^_^
So, there are three instances that I know of where Banana Fish characters either appear as secondary characters, or as cameos.
1. Ash and Eiji in Lover’s Kiss (1995)
They appear in a cafeteria scene in the high school attended by the protagonists of the manga. I haven’t read it, so cannot provide you with more details, but that’s the only time they are ever seen.
2. Sing Soo Ling in Yasha (1996)
3. Again Sing Soo Ling in Eve no Nemuri (2004), stylised as Yasha : Next generation.
Without spoiling much, I can say that Sing is doing well, he’s an influential businessman and has a family with Akira Ibe, and they have a 16 year old son named Rie/Rietsu (manga version reads Lie-san).
This is him, and he is one of the protagonists of this manga. This story line takes place in the early 2000s.
So, there you go! Hope this helps.
PS - I’m guilty of never reading either Yasha or Eve No Nemuri properly, I just skimmed over the pages and got an idea of the storyline. And of course, to catch a glimpse of my best boy, Sing :”D
So, you’re at a better position to know about the details of them, anon!
any drawing tips for another young artist?
- practice! literally so boring to hear ik but listen up no matter how much talent ur born with it wont be anything if you dont practice ay o
- like oikawa said: ‘talent is something you make bloom’
- ~absorb~~~~ view lots of arts and find artists to look up to to inspire yourself! look at how they draw things or follow tutorials and stuff
- believe in urself!! also super boring to heaR i swear im super cliche but
- its an important step to tell urself ‘ok u can do this. i believe in u’ or psych urself up w a pep talk lmfhdhsdf
- it does help, i promise. proof is:
- last year i stopped drawing, i only draw if its for assignments or like once every 4 months. im not lying, i felt like my art sucked and i couldnt draw and god i hate everything that i make
- but at a point i felt like i needed to draw again, and i just. psyched myself up. looked at other artists and told myself u need to start somewhere, might as well start here
- so yeah!!!!! it is important!!!!!! :>
- sorry that turned out into a story time thing but. yea i hope this helps
